Wada Hostel in Guilin

Guilin, China

Have to say, one of best hostels in China after 2months of travelling. Good food, ok coffee, excellent facilities. Clean toilets and showers, lots of ppl and nice atmosphere. BBQ on fridays is recommended for the price! Only major grievance is the sluggish wifi, my chinese 2G mobile connection was faster and more reliable. The staff is truly nice and helpful with excellent english skills. /Nokia.

Thank you for your review! We're glad you enjoyed your stay and that you were able to attend our famous BBQ. We do want to make note of the Wifi issue that you experience. Please know we make every effort to provide the best and most reliable Wifi networks available to our guests because we deeply understand the value of "being connected". That's why we provide 4 wifi networks + Facebook network. You may have been unaware of our additional Wifi networks and we apologize for that.

15min walk from trainstation, easy to find. Clean, nice, enough bathrooms/showers. Comfy beds. Food overpriced and plain but cheapish beer. Lots of ppl waiting around for Visas, easy and cheap to obtain through the hostel. Would recommend!

Apartment hostel, newly opened. Staff speaks no English but helps with a translator ;) Cheap place to stay, new toilets/showers. Good value for money if youre able to get the sofa ;) No other western travellers around during my stay.

Nice hostel, a bit out of the way but easily reachable by busses from downtown. Stayed only for 2 nights, so not very complete review. OKish value for money. Clean, can recommend, not too many options in this city!

Nice, basic, clean, good value for money. Overall a nice stay! Subway quite close, easy to get around - this is maybe 15min ride away from the Bund, so not 'centrally' located. Only weird thing was that the room rates seemed to vary from day to day, but usually to your advance ;) Would recommend, not a party hostel tho. Prices normal, meaning quite high vs streetfood/local eateries.
