El Diabolo Hostel is one of the best hostels I've stayed at so far. The location is excellent. Most sights are within walking distance and also many bars/clubs can be reached by foot. The house is located in a small street so it is quiet at night. The hostel is clean and charmingly decorated. The guys who run the hostel are very helpful and will tell you were to go for sightseeing/eating/partying. Vouchers for good and cheap breakfast at a place close by are available at the hostel.

We had a really great time at Tbilisi Friends Hostel and even returned there twice during our trip through Georgia (we could leave the luggage there). The location cant't be better and you can easily reach sights/restaurants/bars by walk. The hostel is quite small (10 beds + 2 private rooms) but with a large common room with a kitchen and bar where people hang out and easily get to know each other. You can also chill out at the terrace in front of the house or at the balcony with a great view.
We stayed for 1 night in the apartment which is located 2mins away from the hostel in the middle of Alfama district. The apartment was really nice with a clean bathroom, kitchen and even washing machine. It is located on the ground floor so it is not very light but we were not there during the day anyway. The (sofa) bed was not extremely comfortable but for 1 night it was ok. Also the floor in the apartment was quite dirty. The location is good but there is not much going on in Alfama at night.
We really enjoyed our stay at Lookout Lisbon Hostel! The staff was friendly and helpful and there was always a great familial atmosphere (there are only 3 dorms). The breakfast was really nice with fresh bread, ham, cheese, spreads and fruits! The rooms and facilities were always clean, only downside: at night when the windows are open it can be quite noisy from the street since the hostel is located in the middle of the party district. ;) Still, we would definitely go back to Lookout!
The hostel is located 2mins away from Taksim Square. The staff is really nice and helpful. They helped us carry our suitcases, recommended us restaurants and attractions and even went out a night with people staying at the hostel. There is a kitchen where you can always make tea for free and get drinking water from a water cooler. If will definitely stay there again!
