Studio Beach Hostel

I have stayed in many hostels but this Hostel has by far the unfriendliest staff. You never see them smile or say hello. On two nights there was no staff, the door is always open and you can't lock the dorm rooms. So it would have been easy for anyone to walk in. The breakfast is amazing but if you get there after 8:30 am, barely anything gets filled up. Other than that the hostel is close to the pier, the supermarket and the beds are comfy.

This hostel has it all! Great location, walking distance to the party area, metro station and the supermarket. Only a 10 min subway ride to the Ipanema beach. The staff is incredibly helpful, funny and interested in creating a great atmosphere and the breakfast is great vIt's so easy to meet your cotravellers and go out with them, as the staff organizes events. Loved it and really glad that I stayed there. Perfect location if you're travelling alone.

The location is amazing, only a 10 minute walk from the subway station and a couple of blocks from the bar streets of Vila Madalena. The staff is super friendly and always smiling and willing to help out with anything. Especially Sergio was the perfect guide, would not have explored São Paulo that well without him. Never seen a hostel being cleaned so thoroughly. Can really recommend this hostel.

Great location, close to everything you need. The hostel is huge and therefore it's hard to meet people. There's actually no vibe. Plus because of the huge size of the hostel the staff can't keep track of the guests which leads to a lack of security. If you're travelling by yourself you're better of staying somewhere else
