One of the cleanest hostel we have ever stayed at. Nice breakfast with a lot of different cereals, toast, jam... Lockers are available. Very close to City Center and St. Catherine st. At the arrival, staff seemed very stressed and unfriendly. We missed the nice atmosphere a little bit.

Awesome staff!!! (Thanks guys for the great time) It depends in which house you are, but we would recomend the dorms with the bathroom. Daily offered activities are a lot of fun. FREE Pancakes every morning are FABULOUS!! Great atmosphere. No laundry, thats the only negative point :-)

Base Queenstown

Queenstown, New Zealand

Pro: Big rooms with very good lockers under the beds; directly in the city, not far away from everything; Free breakfast for guests who booked on hostelworld Con: Staff "forgets" to hand out the breakfast vouchers, so ASK for it, then you get it; Kitchen is a joke for the number of guests. No space in the frigde and only 3-4 tables where you can eat. People steal a lot out of the bags from the fridge! A lot of young travellers who are only there for partying

Even before entering the hostel the receptionist told us that there are no rooms. When we told her, that we have a booking she just smirked and told us that there are still no rooms available and we should book at least 4 days earlier the next time! WTF? It was raining cats & dogs and we needed to look for another hostel. We asked her to use the internet, but she just laughed and wanted 5$ for it! Zero customer friendly, zero competence; zero cooperativeness - means ZERO rating points.. Cheers!

Allexsis Hotel Chinatown

Pro: Good location in China Town, cheap, friendly staff, breakfast included (toast, butter & jam, coffee & tea), entrance directly in the 24 hour supermarket ;-) Con: Dirty sheets, we were glad to have our silk inlets with us, smelly air con, very thin walls therefore very loud on the first floor, especially early in the morning (from 5/6 AM) as reception and breakfast area are almost directly in front of the rooms, rooms are very small

Pro: - Warm water showers Con: - Got a double room which was very dirty (old fruits laying next to the bed...) dark and smelly - They didnĀ“t put any new toilet paper in our room the next day. When we asked for a new one, they really wanted money for it!! WTF!? - Not a nice location to just sit and chill Doors won't open before 9 AM, so if you arrive earlier you have to wait outside on the street (even when you indicate your arrival date in your booking...)
