Nice, clean and friendly. If you want something away from the centre of Auckland and the big chain hostels this is quite a nice place. Just a shame about the lack of toilet facilities separate from showers, ment cueing for a while to just use the loo in the morning.

Really enjoyed my stay here. Staff are very welcoming and friendly. Perfect location, very close to the shops and bars, plus all the buses stop outside so no need to carry your bags very far.Great balcony over looking the sea, spent many hours sat in the sun reading my book there and having bbq's. If just passing through kaikoura or staying for a couple of days I highly recommend this place.

Got stuck here for much longer than planed due to the great staff and atmosphere, felt right at home here. Great place to start the party with beer pong and cocktails but also nice areas to chill and get over the hangover with the tv room and awesome pizzas. the staff are pretty good at helping plan onward journeys and things to do during the day on the island, had a brilliant day hiking to bottle beach with yuki and others from the hostel.

Well worth the price. Perfect walking distance to kohsan so not right in the hustle and bustle of it. Very comfy beds and clean rooms with a lovely coffee shop downstairs perfect to make new friends. Staff are also very helpful. You can also buy the best pad thai just over the road from the hostel.

The staff and roof top are th best thing about this hostel. Staff very friendly and helpful and the rooftop is a great place to meet new people, get something basic to eat. The shower was sooo hot actually had difficulty turning the temperature down, a real difference to other places I've stayed. They gave a nice thick cover for the cold nights, which they do get pretty cold, however beeare the bed's are lil hard. It's perfectly located right at the edge of thamel. Ended staying extra 2 day
