Wasn't a bad hostel, but I didn't like the fact that the hostel and the rooms were always open for anybody who wanted to enter. At least you can rent a key to use the lockers in the room.

Second time in this hostel and everything was great. Not far from city centre, cheap and friendly. Highly recommended.

Showers on my floor were just a glass panel, no door lock, so had to use those in a different floor. Apart from that, it's just a big hostel. Key cards for your room, 24hrs reception, bar (closes kind of early), free breakfast.

Very nice hostel, felt more like staying with a family than an actual hostel. Absolutely recommended. Besides, it was very cheap for Berlin and my friends and I absolutely loved it.

I didn't like this hostel. But it's not the hostel fault, it's just that if you are coming here, it would be far better if you are in a group (4+) since there are lots of instances to share in the hostel, and you won't even need to go to a pub. But everything is always busy, the nice library, the dining room, etc., and there's only WiFi in the ground floor, which makes all the facilities busy at all times. If you are in a group, don't hesitate. Book and have a nice time.

So sorry you didn't enjoy staying at our hostel but I note you gave us top marks for facilities and location so thanks so much for that.

Derry City Independent Hostel

Although it's a bit far from the city centre proper (not too much, Derry is a very small town) once you enter the hostel you realise you have made a very good choice. The facilities are great, you can cook, you can read a book, you can really just sit in the whole day and never get to know Derry. The owners are very friendly and some days (Tuesdays I think) they even bake their own bread and share it. Interesting people, not really expensive (value for money is great). Recommended 100%.

The Linen House Hostel

The owners (or workers or whatever) seemed a bit greedy. I booked a 8 bed dorm, and instead there were 9. Breakfast is not free (£2) and is not even good compared to other hostels free breakfast. There is someone to open the door at night for you, but reception is certainly not open 24 hrs, and the outdoor terrace is actually just outside of the building but not the street, rather to an interior car park. Noise is "regulated" but one night some guys were partying in the dorm next room.
