When we arrived, the hostel was closed. The owner of the bar next door called the owner which said there were no beds available, even though we had a reservation. There was a rude (drunk?) local guy that tried to show us the hostel while we waited for a solution, and since one of the dorms was locked from the inside he banged on the door while shouting obscenities. He wanted to split our group, having the girls sleep in the same room as him. We did not feel safe and left. Not recommended at all.

Be prepared for the cold! We were not, and slept in a (very cute) bamboo hut with no insulation on a really cold night. The water in the showers could have a bit more pressure. The staff was friendly and very very helpful, they picked us up from the city center. We realized we had forgotten a phone when we were already back in Chiang Mai. Sasa emailed us and arranged to immediately get the phone on the minibus to Chiang Mai, where we picked it up. It was great, thank you very much!

The rooms were clean and even though we didn't talk much with the staff, they were very helpful and let us take a shower at the end of the last day, before taking the train to Chiang Mai. We rented bikes to see the city, which were in average condition. Overall a recommended hostel.

When we first arrived, the staff immediately tried to sell us a way overpriced tour of Angkor instead of showing us our room. When we finally got to the room, we were told that the AC was not included. The room had a funny smell which did not go away by opening the window. There was no hot water in the shower since the heater was broken, and there is no WiFi in the rooms. When we asked for an extra towel the staff were very suspicious and very reluctant to provide the towel. Not recommended.

This hotel is very close to the main bus station. The rooms were big and clean, and the staff was very friendly. We forgot something on the bus and they helped us by calling the bus station and finding the driver, who was still in Battambang. We then booked a bus to Siem Reap that stopped across the street, and which was about an hour late. While waiting for the bus the staff came to apologize for the delay even though it was not their fault. Recommended hotel.

This is a party hostel. There is a pool and a huge outdoor area with a bar and relaxing areas. We were not into partying so it was a bit hard to fall asleep with the loud music, since our dorm was right above the bar area. The bathroom was small but clean, and the beds are big.

Even though we had a reservation, there were not enough beds available for the first night. Being a group of 5, the staff offered an en suite room for two of us, at no extra charge. The common bathroom was not as clean as it should, but the shower worked well. The dorm room was nice but had no windows. Overall it was a nice stay, and the location is very good.

When we arrived at Tigon the hostel was full. The staff managed to move us to another nearby hostel of the same company, where we stayed by ourselves in a brand new room. The bathroom could use a renovation and more regular cleaning, but the rest of the hostel was clean and looked pretty good. There was free beer, a pool table and a computer. The room was on the ground floor and had a big window to the street, which didn't close properly.

The staff were very friendly and the hostel location is pretty good. Free breakfast was available every morning, which was a pleasant surprise. Even though the entrance to the hostel looks a bit shady, the hostel itself is well decorated and has a happy atmosphere. Thank you for your hospitality!
