My husband and I stayed 4 nights. We had a huge room with 6 beds and even its own kitchen. The room and furniture was not too clean and it was really noisy from outside during the day and inside all night. I was sick while there and had a fall. The staff were great with getting a Dr for me and helping to translate etc ( thanks!) as we had our own kitchen we didn't use the upstairs kitchen and dining room, which was really tiny and cramped. Breakfast materials were good and the staff generous.
A nice comfortable hotel in a very good location. Very close to Ilampu and witches market shopping area. The staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was really good with fruit and eggs. We had a double room with bathroom. The bed was comfortable with nice sheets. The room was a bit dark but quite large with an extra bed. Downstairs there was hot water and tea available, free.
Backpackers Iquique was a really excellent place to stay. The staff were really accommodating (we arrived at 4am), we met some really terrific people as the common area is fine to chat, breakfast was good, location right over the road from the beach is perfect, a short walk into the main centre. Plenty of room in the good kitchen (except at peak hour dinner time). We had a double room with bathroom, which was comfortable and clean. Individual lockup boxes available for valuables.

The staff were lovely and helpful. It was really loud at night with people talking loudly until about 5am, and thin walls. The house is physically great and with not too many guests but not well maintained. The kitchen was really small and there seemed to be only one toilet for everyone. The sheets seemed a bit grubby and the room we had was not very well maintained, although it was a lovely room with small balcony. The area was interesting with restaurants nearby.
This was a super place to stay in a great location. It was amazingly clean and with a good breakfast. The staff were really helpful and interesting.
We had only one night here, right over the water. It is a lovely location in a renovated palafito house, with balcony out the back,a communal room and very small kitchen. We had a double room with private bathroom (other side of the hallway, with a door to be slammed to close, noisy). The bed and linen are great but the tiny room had little ventilation. The walls and ceilings are very thin and need some decent noiseinsulation. Breakfast is average. Staff were very nice and spoke great English.
The atmosphere here was terrific, with a huge common room dining area. Cheap evening meals were a plus. Reception seemed a bit understaffed with some confusion happening there sometimes. Some of the double rooms are totally dark as although they have windows the shutters are boarded up. Great wifi and computer use.

Lovely and helpful staff with good English. Very near a supermarket, and it has a good sized kitchen. There is a free washing machine which was really useful. Really big courtyard to relax in, with hammocks etc. where they sometimes do BBQ. Cute little guinea pigs in the garden, (this is not related to BBQ!) We had a double room with private bathroom. The room was adequate.
Very helpful staff. Great room with comfy bed and the Pousada was in an excellent location. Really nice town to see!
Great place with lovely staff, who were very helpful with suggestion about the Island . Terrific fresh breakfast with lots of choice. Free loan of snorkel gear and DVDs. Fridge in room. A really nice place to stay.
