Couldn't be better. Lovely hostel, large well-equipped kitchen and and wonderful welcome from the staff My train was cancelled but they were very helpful and kept us informed. Everyone very friendly in a beautiful part of the world.

Attractive building in a great location. Very busy staff but they have time for everyone. Clean comfortable dorms. Breakfast included. Everything you could want in a hostel, including the activities The only negative was that the prices went up because I was there for Gay Pride week.

It's been said before, Martha makes this hostel like a home. The dorms have lots of space and air, the bathrooms are spotless and the common area makes it easy to get to know everyone. The only problem was noise from the street late at night and early in the morning, but this is obviously not their fault.

Staff were lovely. Cheerful and helpful. I spent most of my time in the hammocks when I was in the hostel.

Disappointing. The hostel is a very attractive building, with two swimming pools, but there were serious plumbing issues while I was there. The en suite toilet did not flush well and the shower was more of a dribble, so it was difficult to rinse off soap and shampoo. Of the two toilets next door, one was flooded and the other had an overflowing waste bin and a blocked sink. The "superior" dorm was small and stuffy, as the air con came on at 10pm and there was no fan. The staff did their best.
Hello, Thanks for your comment. We take your comment very seriously and we already did a check of every plumbing issues. Thanks

Great design for the beds - not bunks, they're secured to the wall and ceiling, so no rattling around. Beautiful bathroom with lots of room. Rooftop terrace. Location in a fun area of Rio, close to restaurants and bars. But best of all are the staff and Nick the owner. They welcomed me like an old friend and I had such a good time with them and the other guests.
You are lovely :)

Attractive building. Very comfortable beds and good bathrooms. Lovely courtyard with hummingbirds and butterflies. Very convenient for the falls - just a short walk to the bus stop. However, it is a long bus ride to the town and there's not much in the immediate area, so as a single female I felt a little isolated.

I was upgraded to a two-bed room with only me in it. They have thought of all the details there are hooks in the shower room and a tray for toiletries. Socket, light and small shelf over the cubicle bed. Curtains that really keep the light out. Good breakfast included and helpful staff. It was very quiet when I was there so I can't comment on the atmosphere.

A good place to stay in Paraty and the staff are lovely. Large choice at breakfast and often cheap dinners available. I mentioned to staff that I think that people in forms should be able to rent towels as well as those in private rooms.

Pleasant, split-level dorm. Tepid shower. Atmosphere ranged from times when no-one spoke to over-noisy, even rowdy. But the grounds are beautiful and the staff obliging.

It's a small place and in the mixed dorm you may have to wait for the bathroom on the first floor. The best thing about this place is the staff, who are lovely, friendly and very helpful. Close to a beach and buses. When things run out at breakfast, they readily re-stock. I will probably go back.

The female dorm is on the ninth floor, but there is a lift. It is just below the bar on the terrace, so there was noise at night, but it usually ended at midnight. This hostel is full of "party people" and I did find it hard to get a night's sleep, but that is not the fault of the hostel. The staff are very friendly and generous and always try to help.

The hostel is an old, ornate building tucked away behind fruit and vegetable stalls. Alfredo, one of the owners, is a treasure - jolly, friendly and very helpful, but all the staff are great. Breakfasts are at shared tables so you get to know people quickly. There is the chance to go to a beautiful private beach with Alfredo. Also, at the moment a local artist is painting a mural on the terrace. If you want something different, but where you can feel at home, try Muffin.

The hostel is in a perfect location beside the lake with a view of the volcano through the picture windows. It is convenient for all the shops and restaurants. The staff are lovely - great to talk to and willing to answer all your questions/arrange tours etc. Beds are comfortable and bathrooms are clean. Many people come for all the activities, but I came to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery in the area If you're going to Pucon, stay in this hostel.

Delightful decor. Wonderful staff - they felt like friends! Hammocks in the shade for the daytime and a fire in the courtyard at night. Very pleasant atmosphere- everybody got talking - but also very respectful of others, so quiet at night and first thing in the morning. Only downside was the occasional wait for the bathrooms- but they are extending the space so this may become a thing of the past. If you want a different experience, stay at the Rural.

It was very helpful to have 24hr reception. However, I only met one member of staff who spoke English and this led to some miscommunication about booking bus tickets. The room was rather cold.

I enjoyed my time at Ecopackers and because of the shared tables in the dining room and the bar, it is easy to get talking to people. The central courtyard is a good place to chill out/warm up and there is an ATM which is very convenient. It is in a quiet road very near the central squares. They allow people to check in early, which is generally a good thing, but can mean you get woken up in a dorm. The downstairs toilets and showers are mixed. Upstairs is female only with hairdryers.

Everyone loves this place. There is space and time to make friends. There is information on all the current events in Phoenix. Plus free breakfast, cookies in the evening, unlimited supply of towels. Staff are wonderful.

Very comfy cubicles, like a little nest. The hot tub was a real bonus - deeply relaxing. Staff so friendly and helpful. A favourite!

I had fun here. The staff were warm and welcoming. They showed great patience when I had difficulty activating my SIM card. The bar was good and the Mochi making evening was a great way to get everyone laughing and talking. The dorm was very comfortable and stylish. Free use of umbrellas when it was raining. Highly recommended.

The staff here work very hard to keep the place clean and functional. They are very helpful. The free breakfast and soup were great. But the hostel was almost entirely filled with young people who only talked among themselves and were frequently inconsiderate of others. My 4 bed dorm was very small and between the stairs and the bathrooms, so also very noisy. This may be the place for you if you're young and wish to party - otherwise it may be better he go elsewhere.

I met some lovely people here. The shuttle service is very useful when you have your backpack. Two separate kitchens and comfortable space to hang out in.

Great views of the lake. Spacious rooms with basin as well as "en suite". Comfortable and clean. Free Wifi a bit slow. I recommend this hostel.

Hostel staff friendly. Stayed in the "Sanctuary" female dorm. It was clean and quite comfortable. The kitchen, however, was chaos. There was only one fridge and the hostel takes large groups. My food was constantly moved. It was hard to get space to cook at all. The gas hob needed to be lit with matches. Also the kitchen was closed for cleaning from 10am to 1pm. Not very convenient.

No hooks or shelves in the dorm meant we could only store things on the floor. No lockers No lounge in the house I was in, so people had to use the kitchen table for laptops. Could be better with a few simple changes.

Probably the cleanest hostel I've stayed in for a while. Showers have plenty of space to put towels and clothes. Different rooms for different activities. Sunny terrace.

A pleasant stay with friendly staff and guests. The ensuite shower room was very small. Also the way the door to the shower works means the floor gets very wet, so it's hard to keep clothes dry in there. Kitchen could do with new pots and pans.

Very well thought out kitchen and common room space. Bathrooms close to dorm. Showers had soap dish and hooks, but perhaps would be better with cubicle door instead of shower curtain. Staff always available and helpful. A good quality backpackers experience.

The problem with location in the heart of the city is noise throughout the night, even during weekdays. Also, the bunks are very sqeaky, so it is hard to get a good night's sleep.
Hi there, Thanks for taking the time to leave your feedback. Being on the top floor of a city building, we generally are lucky not to experience too much noise, though being so central, sometimes noise can be expected. In regards to your bunk bed being squeaky, this is not a usual thing and we apologise for the disturb this may have had to your stay. We will make sure to tighten up all the bunks in that room so this isn't an issue. Hope to see you next time! Cheers-The Attic Team

The showers really are very small, with not much space to put towels and clothes. Great location, helpful staff.

The kitchen is very small so can be difficult to find the time or space to cook or eat. A large comfortable communal area. Excellent location in Fitzroy, with cool shops and restaurants and opposite the park and museum. Good tram connection and easy walk to town centre.

I love this place and couldn't tear myself away. The staff are lovely people, so welcoming and friendly. As others have said, the night canoeing is a great experience and the guides are knowledgable and informative. They make a fire to warm you up when you get in. There's plenty to do, or you can just hang out and relax. The large common area makes it easy to socialise, but the room arrangements mean you can get a good night's sleep. Absolutely one of my favourite places to stay.

In the "de luxe" single room there was a fridge, but no shelves, hooks or mirror. Unfortunately one of the two bathrooms on my floor was out-of-order. Long corridors meant it didn't feel very friendly.

I love this place. They think of all the details e.g. enough hooks and shelving in the showers, showers separate from toilets, privacy for the female dorm. The staff are lovely and very helpful. You can walk to most of the interesting places. Free breakfast. I recommend it!

You have to go through the reception and eating area to access the toilets and showers from the dorm. Also there is not enough comfortable seating in the common area.

As there were no beds in the dorm available and I am travelling alone, I had to pay double for a hut. This made it qute expensive for a room with only a bed and a shower room in a hut alongside, ("ensuite"). Also the accommodation is not on the beach, but across the road. However, the staff were lovely, the food was good and the place was great for chilling out.

More of a hotel than a hostel. Lack of a bar or restaurant means no way to meet other backpackers. No loungers by the pool, only high-backed chairs. Staff, on the other hand, friendly and helpful.

The dorm accommodation was disappointing and the wash basins had not been cleaned in a long time. Other hostels in the area were better value for money
