Really nice little place, owners are very friendly and a wealth of information on what you can do around the area. Breakfast is good....bread, ham, cheese and fruit selection and fresh juice. Beach 10 mins away and supermarket 5 mins away. Little far from the centre but catching a bus there is easy. Nice pool and gardens and the 2 dogs there are really cute. Wish I had more time to spend in Porto Seguro as there is much more to do than I realised.
Pretty quiet whilst I was there so not much of an atmosphere. Breakfast was normal for Brazil, bread, ham, cheese etc. Rooms were good and clean, also has a pool which is nice in the heat. Close to main beach but better beaches a short bus ride away and bus stop is just around the corner.
Almost anyone can just walk in and snoop around the rooms, as found out when a friend went looking for me! Breakfast is simple but fine and the place is clean, has good bar and kitchen and air con in TV room during the day.
Really nice hostel, just a little away from alot of the night spots. Nice pool area and bar and salsa lessons were fun, if a little hot and sweaty.....the studio could do with being bigger for the amount of people that want to do the classes! Simple breakfast, bread, spreads, juice etc
Love this place and all the staff. In a nice area of Rio, easy to get to everywhere. Rooms and communal areas are clean and there is a really friendly and sociable atmosphere. Am staying here two more times when transitting through Rio, would highly recommend!
Staff really friendly, rooms and bathrooms are clean, breakfast is pretty good and has a panini press! Enjoyed my stay here and would go back again.
Unable to use kitchen, staff always cooking in there and was very poorly equipped. Triple bunk beds are too much especially in such small rooms. Decent breakfast though. Jasper on reception was nice and helpful.
Very close to bus station which is useful. Hostel is very small, triple bunks in room and not really enough space to store backpacks. Lots of hammocks around and pretty chilled out vibe, not really much going on though. Ensuite consisted soley of a shower, no toilet or sink. BBQ night was really good food and lots of Caipirinahs for the money....only R$30. Found it difficult to tell who was actually staff in the hostel or if the people around were just family members.
LOVED this hostel, the people and all of the staff here. Location is perfect and easy to get everywhere by public transport although the hostel runs trips daily which makes everything easy for you at reasonable prices. The dinners nightly are really really good especially for the price. Staff all speak english and are friendly and helpful with everything you may need to ask. Was really sad to leave Tucano, ended up extending my stay from 3 to 8 days and easily could have stayed longer.
Nice hostel, quite large and found it difficult to really meet people, not a lot of atmosphere but is very clean and within walking distance to historical centre.
Loved this hostel, staff are all really friendly and the breakfast is really good with cooked options as well as the usual bread, jam and fruits. Owner is amazingly helpful with everything you need to know about getting to the falls and the best way to do it once you are there. It´s really clean, people are friendly and they do an amazing BBQ. Would higly recommend to anyway stopping in Iguazu!
Rooms were fine and beds confortable. Kitchen is poor, not enough utensils, cutlery, pans etc. Internet is not included, you have to pay extra for access but there is wifi. Staff did not explain anything about the area on arrival, just took money, gave key and pointed in direction of room. Dining area also serves as a restaurant. Everything in El Chaltèn is reasonably expensive.
