Excellent location in the heart of Edinburgh - only a short walk to all the main attractions, bars, restaurants etc. Room was good size (twin private room) but bathrooms are very small and not much room to move in the shower, especially if you are tall. The set up of the lobby and lounge areas are good and open for people to get to know each other, but the atmosphere lacked, mainly due to the staff. They weren't rude but not welcoming either. Ok hostel but would try somewhere else next time.

The staff are very friendly, welcoming and helpful. This was the first impression I got when I arrived and it stuck with me. Room was incredibly small, just a set of bunk beds and that's really it. Was nice enough though for what you pay, no complaints, just pointing out the room's size. Good security here - need special ticket/pass and can't get through huge gate in reception area without it. Excellent location. Wifi only available in common areas. Better than most hostels. Highly recommend!

Stayed in 4 bed dorm, great room with lockers for belongings and comfortable, clean beds. Excellent location, only 3-5 minute walk from Oxford Circus Central area and station. You can buy a nice breakfast in the lobby and staff are happy to help with information and tour bookings etc. Some staff friendlier than others. Had to pay for wifi. Overall great stay in a good hostel. Would recommend.
