Ekeko Hostel

Lima, Peru

The staff was definitely the highlight. The main reception guy was so super. He speaks tons of languages and is always interested about learning new ones and interacting with the guests. They have tons of movies, good chill space and lots of info.

VIP House

Cusco, Peru

The staff was great. They had Christmas themed celebrations which was cool, and they were full of info about what to do in town. The bathrooms were pretty standard unpleasant and you couldn't use the kitchen. But whatever, Cusco is awesome.

Sol Atacama Hostel

San Pedro de Atacama, Chile

Sure the kitchen isn't what we're accustomed to, and people stay up or get up at random, unfavorable hours, and the internet might not always work, but this is a hostal people, and if you forgot, its in the desert. The owner, Andres is so nice and helpful. The bathrooms have hot water if you want it, and they're cleaned daily. Its a fabulous hostel for meeting people and making friends. But if you like quiet, privacy, lockers and microwaves, stay elsewhere. I'd go back in a heartbeat.
