HI-Banff Alpine Centre, Banff, Canada

Nice hostle, unfortunately a little outisde of Banff, so you rely on driving yourself, walking (about 20min uphill on the way back), or get a buspass for a 5$ deposit. Staff is very friendly and helpful, the small restaurant good and affordable. Lot's of fun in the bar downstairs, they organize a few things (open mic, karaoke) and you easily meet new people. The only thing was that it was really loud at night as people took of to party around midnight and return around 4 with a lot of noise!!!

Well, I think it is nice in general. The kitchen is huge and was very noisy and full of people when I was there. The common area is a big lounge with separate tables - not easy to meet other people as everyone was sitting by themselves. Staff was friendly and helpful. In general, it's still a good place to stay, close to Lake Louise and hiking areas.

It's perfect get- away in the forest. No WiFi, no TV - perfect to leave daily routine behind. Only a short drive to Lake Louise or Banff. Just a beautiful place to return to when you were out hiking or exploring the National Park, esp. because of the lounge area with a fire place right in the middle!

The perfect place if you would like to escape the hussle of the city. a perfect little sanctuary with garden with olive trees and ripe (!) figs! Great view of the city by day and night. The staff is amazing and offers a tour of the building (used to be a hospital for pilgrims in the middle ages) - simply perfect. There was a wedding when we were there and some of the food was offered for breakfast. I can highly recommend this place.

I liked this hostel. I was looking for a quiet place and found what I was looking for. It is in one of the side streets in the old town, close to San Diego place where you can spend the evenings and nights, have a snack and a beer and get into contact with locals and other travellers. The hostel offers free coffee in the morning which is great. Staff was super friendly and helpful. The common area could be cosier and more welcoming. But all it all it was really nice to stay there.

1 of the nicest places I stayed at when travelling in Clmbia. The rooftop bar and pool are amazing &offer a great view of the village. You find space for sunbathing and chilling in hammocks in the sun and shade. The house itself is fantastic. With the stone staircase in the house it seems as if the house was built right into the rocks. Really cool. Rooms have ac and are quiet. Breakfast during weekends is a nice little extra for little money. Also BBQ nights and other events are fun. Stay there!

You get what you pay for. Ok place to stay, away from the noise and party crowd of South Beach, which is good for me. Located in a residence area, very close to the beach. Room had a kitchen but no pots or something to cook, only plates and cutlery. The patio is nice for hanging out in the sun until the flight leaves. Supermarket close by. The place is a little old and run down, but it is ok for a couple of nights. Rooms have lockers. I felt safe walking around the area after dark.

This place is really really nice and very new, still the owner knows exactely what he is doing. It is a little outside downtown, but for me this was great as it was also very quiet. The bed was really comfy, the bathroom and sleeping room were spacy. The kitchen is brand-new and offers everything one needs, incl. a dishwater. The walk downtown is save and nice and takes about 20min. The owner helps you in any way he can, incl. calling airport taxis etc. I had a great time there!

Ocean Blue Hostel, Miami, USA

This hostel is a nice place to stay if you like to party and be in the middle of the party mile. There are two buildings, one is directly at the ocean front, the other one block behind it. I stayed two nights in the second building, which was fine until the put a guy into the all female room. When he came in with a member of staff I told her so, but she ignored me. I wouldn't mind a mixed dorm if I pay for it and also if there is a proper bathroom.
