We really enjoyed the tidiness and standard. The hostel is in the middle of the medina, so it is ideally located for exploring. The service was absolutely great and we got free tea at the roof balcony whenever we felt like it. We went to a new year's dinner that was greatly over-priced (400 MAD), and you can get a taxi there for less than a quarter (12 MAD) of the price that the Riad offers (70 MAD) despite the distance from the train station, but the room itself was fairly priced.
The staff is very helpful and can help with finding things cheaply. We lived at the Riad in december, and the rooms turned out not to be too well-insulated (the house was probably rather constructed to handle the summer heat), but the staff gladly provided blankets, towels and mint tea at request for free. The food is good and traditional music is played during the meal. There is a cheap hammam with gommage (given by the owner), but make sure that he is sober if you would dare try it.
Arrived in late december, the temperatures were below 10 degrees C, and the room was not well insulated, but blankets were available. The bathrooms were quite clean and worked well. Breakfast was included and quite good given the price, although the coffee was bad.
