Woodstock Hostel

Paris, France

Not much to say about this hostel, it's good if you want to stay close to this neighborhood- just down the street from the basilica! Other than that, you have to walk a little bit and take the metro everywhere. Standard for Paris I think. The atmosphere was good and the breakfast (pastry plus coffee and juice) was an added bonus in the morning. They have a nice terrace too.

Central Station Hostel

Amsterdam, Netherlands

This hostel was great because of the location. Perfect for getting around to all parts of the city. However, the facilities weren't the best. The stairs were very steep and scary to go up and down, especially with heavy backpacks. The rooms were okay, but there was no ventilation and it was extremely hot at night. Very crowded and narrow place. Limited room options. Stay here if you are low maintenance and/or won't be spending much time in the room and want to be within walking distance of every

Rome, Italy

This hostel is in a pretty good location because it's close to the main train station- only a four block walk. It was quiet and private, which was nice. I recommend staying in one of the private rooms, definitely get your money's worth with the double bed and en suite bathroom. The staff was hardly ever around, but everything else was good. I would stay here again.

Hostel Meyerbeer Beach

Nice, France

Great hostel if you're staying in the city for just a night- cheap, very clean and new-looking facilities, and you can see the airport from it. Staff is very nice and friendly and the cafe/bar in the lobby is a great addition. Wifi can be iffy and the room was a little small with not much space for luggage storage but overall a good one night stay.

This hostel was in a great location and very well priced. There were tons of bathrooms and a great rooftop terrace. The homemade dinner and beer on tap were nice touches and the wifi worked great. But there were some things that were not so great. The staff was disorganized and didn't seem to care about the guests. The bathrooms were very unclean and had a bad smell. The room had mosquitoes and the towels were old and dirty. This hostel would have been a great stay had it been properly cleaned.
