Seems difficult to find at first with the myriad of the medina but it's really a straigt 7 or 8 min. walk to Victory place. Owner left breakfast out overnight because I was leaving for early morning flight. Laid out around a traditional riad with good bathroom and washing facilities. Rooms come with fans.
Nice hostel but more for the partying type. Theres little consideration for the time of night when there should be quite when people are sleeping. I was woken at 02:30 when a group of 6 checked in with all lights and talking; it lasted until 03:15. The following morning I was woken at same time with music playing at full volume below. Door between the balcony & dorm was often left wide open even in the middle of the night. Staff are nice with some local knowledge. Close to shops and amenities.
Nice courtyard and outside area for relaxing. Close to shops and amenities. Dorm rooms are not the same you see in the photo; also dark and not much room for manouver but have heaters. Gets very cold at night with a lot of dampness present. Condition of toilet/shower left a bit to be desired. Breakfast was coffee, bread, boiled eggs, olives, feta cheese and cucumbers. Loud construction work began early in so little chance of longer lay in.
This hostel was once a coaching stop for travellerers during the 19th century and it's nice to see the legacy has continued. Having said that it is also 19th century in style; dorms are similar to motel rooms and don't have the best insulation for keeping out the cold. No deposit required for the key. Breakfast is not included in the price of accommodation (as advertised) however it is included in a deal including a tea time snack both for 6 LEV. All attractions and tours explained. Clean linen.
Centrally located. Free-pick up offer should be taken advantage of. Nice and relaxing atmosphere. Very secure; doors to dorms have locks as well as front door. Dorms have safe boxes too. Run by backpackers for backpackers. Laundry service available for reasonable price. Slight damp in the air that also exists at other hostels probably from old buildings.
Small cosy hostel in quite neighbourhood.
+ Nice atmosphere, felt a bit homely. Close to museums, shops and tramline. Free coffee. - The dorms were a bit crowded and no space to organise belongings; can easily get mixed up. There's no real common area only a very small space in reception that's also the dining room, everyone is on top of each other when it's busy. They should make one dorm room available as a common room where guests can chill out and leave whole dining area the reception. Maybe owners would be loosing out then (€)?.
