We really liked the hostel! The Staff was very nice and helpfull for example with making reservations in restaurants for 7 people during the busiest time in Prague (during the World Cup Ice Hockey). We had a little problem with the payment of the taxi and they were also very helpfull - Thanks Petr! A few things could be better, for example the showers weren't that clean and there was no place to put your clothes dry and secure in the bathrooms. We definatly recommend the hostel!

It's a very nice hostel! We liked the location, not in the touristic city centre. It's next to the metrostation! I was very clean and the staff was helpfull and friendly. They gave us a very good tip for a taparestaurant in the neighbourghood. Only negative thing: the walls are very thin, we could hear a baby criing all night long...

Originaly we booked a room for two nights and eventually we ended up staying for two weeks. It was so nice relaxing at the swimming pool or just at the bar. The staff is very friendly and helpfull! The rooms are comfortable and the food is delicious. We definitely recommend this place if you want to stay in a relaxing atmosphere. Thank you Lucie, Simone, the bartender and all the other people! We loved it!
Pro's: Good locations near metrostation and supermarkets. Helpfull staff. They gave us a upgrade from a dorm to a private double room because everything was fully booked. The Wifi is good. Comfortable rooms and big kitchen. Con's: Breakfast was poor. Just dry bread with thee and instant coffee. No marmalade or cheese or... The bed in the double room is very hard, it's like sleeping on a wooden bench. The showers are cold. But it's a new hostel with a lot of potential!
Pro's: It's near de metrostation and big supermarkets, nice staff, rooms are very comfortable, excellent coffee for free all day Con's: We had always cold water, they tried to fix it, but we had cold water for the next two days. Breakfast is okay, but not that much
Pro: Very friendly owner. Good breakfast with real coffee. Private room was nice and not too expensive. Central location. Neg: One shower is warm-ish and the other one is warm but only when the waterpressure is low.
Pro: Very friendly staff! They did everything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Breakfast was good and thee the whole day a volente. Free luggagestorage, All night reception, comfy beds, warm water,... Good alternative for the expensive hostels in the centre of Cuzco. Neg: When there's a lot of people you have to wait to get hot water.
Pro's: - Nice beds and blankets - Friendly staff: When we arrived we didn't get the room we booked on the phone, but the staff suggested to change to a much nicer private room instead for the same price if we didn't use the bathroom. - Central location Con's: - There is only hot water between 11am and 3 pm, before/after that it's warm-ish to very cold! - The internet only works properly on the ground floor.
Pos: - Really nice and helpfull staff who organise bbq's and treckings. - Beautifull building with relaxing patio and hammocks - Good beds - Bookexchange, computer, some games, etc. are available - Very fast internet Neg: - Only two showers - Rooms could be a little bit more spacious - Breakfast available but not included --> but these are minor things
Pos: - Good Tours (Triathlon around Tupiza) - Clean and spacious rooms - Very good breakfast - Helpfull staff - Beautiful location (also just 10 min walk to the citycentre) Neg: - nothing really negative
Good: - Comfortable bed - Hot shower - Basic, but nice breakfast - Good location - Internet worked Bad: - Cold hostel - More a homestay (little kids running around)
Good: - Very beautiful hostel! - Very comfortable beds - Really friendly and helpful owner - Very nice, relaxed atmosphere - Nice view over the city - Great value - Very nice facilities. Hot showers, and everything is brand new. Bad: - NOTHING
Good: - Friendly, english speaking, staff - Swimming pool - Hot showers - Offer transportation to the National Park - Rooms have airconditioning Bad: - Room for 8 people with bunk beds was really small with all the lugage. SUGGETION: better book the room with 12 people, it is bigger and doesn't have bunk beds!
Good: - Very friendly and helpful owner! We had trouble with the luggage and he helped us a lot, called a couple of times and even drove me back to the airport. He also helped with how to enjoy carnival the most and how to get to the city,... Thanks Rupi! - Very nice breakfast - Big room - It's not really in Salvador but it's in a nice town outside the big city. It's just one bus ride away. - Wifi Bad: - The typical brasilian things: not a hot shower, bed made a lot of noise,...
Good: - Location: even though Waikiki is awfull, it's near the beach. - They have lockers - Breakfast was included - Probably on of the best deals in Waikiki because it lacks competition Bad: - Waikiki is really not a nice place to stay - Everything is just average - Expensive!! Like everything in Waikiki
Good: - Very original place to stay. - Looks very nice - Comfortable beds - Pooltable, TV, games, books,... Bad: - Expensive - The women showers were really dirty (the mens were clean) - Atmosphere is not great, you feel like your just a number (oh the irony)
Good: - Good beds - Nice outdoor part to relax Bad: - Nothing really bad, everything was average
Good: - Very good facilities: nice showers, two well equiped kitchens - Comfy beds - Nice garden to relax - Very friendly staff Bad: - It's far from the centre, BUT you can use bikes for free - Not really secure, but it really doesn't have to be
We had a very good stay at Duke Hostel. We loved it very much. The free soup was nice, Dory suggested to cook more soup if it was necessary. He and is wife always tried to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The free bread and jam in the morning is always pleasant as a backpacker. The facilities are clean en we had a good bed in a spacious double room. When we were waiting to check in, we got some cookies to make our waiting more enjoyable. We definitely recommend this hostel!
Good unlimited internet in the common area (but not at peak moments between 7 and 10PM) Comfy beds Good tv room and well equiped kitchen Very nice extra's like complementary soup and breakfast. Like all hostels at Franz Joseph is the location excellent.
We had a pleasant stay at Fox Inn. It has a lot of potential because it has a well equiped kitchen, nice movie selection, good showers ,excellent location and a friendly host. But there are a few downsides too. For example the bunkbeds aren't that good (noisy and less than average matressess). Also is it cold in all the rooms (also common areas). The heaters doesn't work untill late and it can be very chilly at the West Coast, even during the summer.
We stayed 3 times at Southern Laughter because it has a great atmosphere! There is free soup every day, which is very nice. It has the best hostelbeds ever! Good pillows, good matressess and good blankets. The staff is helpfull and you can leave your luggage overthere for free when you are on a hikingtrip for a few days.
Kitchen is clean but there are no forks?! Comfy beds and clean showers Location is very good as central point for many tramps/milford sound/... but the staff isn't that flexible for leaving your luggage overthere in a secure place. They give you the possiblity to leave your belongings for a hole day in the common area (not locked).
We stayed in a double room over there. The room had a theme - The Movie 'The Worlds fastest Indian', it was lovely! There were real attributes from the film, we could watch the film in the room, ... it was a really funny and nice room with a good bed! Outside was the hot tub, which was very nice in the evening. Sparky was a very good host, he did everything to make our stay enjoyable and relaxed! The bathroom was clean en the living room had a very cosy atmosphere with the stove.
