A pretty cool hostel, with a very lively bar / club, in walking distance to lots of local attractions (24/7 supermarket, beach, and lots of bars and restaurants, including La Favela). The pool is pretty cool too

Cheap as cheap can be, but terrible as terrible can be. Police insisting on escorting me to the door one night because they were too scared for me to walk alone from the station, prostitutes openly proposition me on another, zero security on who comes in, food regularly stolen and staff bluntly refusing to even listen 'because it happens all the time', the list just goes on...

The only nice thing about this hostel? A beautiful location on the promenade. Negatives? Impossible to find (and no Chinese instructions anywhere on the confirmation), no heating anywhere in the common areas (it was below zero that night), *all* shower heads broken, locker under bed was *infested* with spiderwebs and some awful gooey liquid, the list goes on. This place should not be allowed to trade as a hostel
Hi! We really appreciate your advice and my apologies for your tough experience during your stay. We have improved our cleanness and repaired our facilities. We regret not to make you enjoy your stay in Qingdao. Regards

Got everything you might need. Rooms, as well as kitchen, are a little crowded, but OK. Kept reasonably clean. Great courtyard, and supermarket across the road

Great location, and very accommodating staff. Brilliant kitchen, but rooms are very crowded. Did not appreciate them not accepting credit cards, or the fact that they seem to allow a countless number of street dogs into the hostel (or show complete disregard to the fact that I and another guest have an allergy for said animals). But overall a great place for a great price.

Excellent location in the centre of town, near all facilities, and a very simple walk to the bus station. Excellent facilities and equipment hire, and an incredibly friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great overall, but accepting credit cards would be even better

Average and below. Substandard showers, and a homeless person being let onto an empty bed were 'highlights', too many inexperienced staff on work for accommodation who can't really help you with anything, and generally not inspiring. Location is great, however

Spotless, super safe, awesome staff, top notch facilities, everything a hostel could, and should be. Detour to Porto Alegre just to spend a few days there. Highly recommended
Thanks for choosing Brick Hostel and to take time evaluating us. We´re glad you liked your experience here. Hopé to see you again! Be always welcome! :) Best wishes, Brick staff

Nowhere important, and the neighbourhood isn't the friendliest, to say the least. It's not a hostel either, rather a home stay, but a comfortable one at that. And a private room for a price of a dorm bed, which is pretty decent. Very keen owner, who picked me up as well, and a fairly good kitchen and garden.

Brilliant place, right at the heart of it all, just a few minutes walk to Copacabana beach. Super attentive owners and staff, and great common areas. Rooms could do with a bit of modernisation, and a night staff member who speak English would also go a long way, but overall a superb place
Thank you for staying with us and for leaving a review. We are glad to hear you like our location and staff. We have modernized the hostel since your stay, we hope you will like it! Safe travels! CabanaCopa staff

The place literally looks like the pictures, absolutely stunning. A bit of shame about lack of staff capacity to deal with anyone not Korean, but otherwise the place is brilliant.

It is mostly a chalet style hotel, with only 2 rooms dedicated as dorms, so if you're expecting a hostel atmosphere this isn't exactly the place. However, it is neat and clean, has a great self catered kitchen, as well as a lovely lounge. Staff, as usual in SA, go out of their way. A pleasant stay, overall. Just don't expect to make any new friends...

Do NOT book this hostel based on the price on their result because it is NOT the price you will end up paying!!! This is NOT a hostel, it's a bad combination of a Travelodge and a RyanAir style service. Want bedding? More money, want to pay by card? €3 fee (!!), want to cook? you must buy overpriced from the canteen, want anything at all? Pay, pay, pay. It is a sad budget hotel that tries to make money by attracting backpackes, while not taking care of any backpackers' needs. AVOID

Not the best of locations, but a warm owner and decent staff make for a good experience. Rooms are clean, pretty good kitchen, and an onsite bar that doesn't try to upsell. Excellent value for money overall.

I certainly did not appreciate, instead of being placed in a 4 bed dorm as booked, to be squeezed in a 2 bed room with just a 65 year old Indian business man. Otherwise, utterly devoid of any hostel atmosphere, but clean and convenient, and for a great price.

Great location, above average facilities, and staff who are generally super keen and therefore make all the difference. A little lacking in atmosphere, just like most hostels in Russia, as they all seem to be occupied primarily by locals

Incredible location, just minutes walk from Metro, and walking distance to the Red Square, but inside a tranquil courtyard with some hipster bars. Inside, not much in terms of facilities, and everything is just a little too crowded, but it's clean, well organised, and functions well

If you are willing to forgive the relative long distance into London (tube next door, but it'll cost you more than travelling in zone 1), then this is probably best value for money hostel in London. Reasonably clean, good atmosphere and a mixed bunch of guests. The staff could be a little more obliging, but otherwise a great place, especially if you need a place for more than just 1 night or not a tourist (i.e. Looking for work etc)

The staff make a genuine effort, which is a welcome relief from the general London hostel stereotype. Nothing too fancy, but nice, clean, and quiet. Good value for money overall, as long as you're prepared to trek a little out of the centre.

The location, a mere 5 minutes walk from the coach station, 4 minutes walk to the mall, and right at the back end of Jalan Pataling and China Town, is brilliant. It was also very clean, well organised, and the staff fairly friendly. Above all, with a price like that you can't expect much luxury, so the it takes the 'value for money' category with pride.

Helpful staff, amazing location, facilities are so so. The bathroom, however, looks straight out of a horror movie set, but that's probably the only 'bad' point. The rest pretty average

Incredibly clean, organised, and equipped. Everything you'll need, and friendly staff. Not best of locations, but 4 mins walk from the JR Circle Line, and about 20 mins walk to some tourist attractions. Atmosphere pretty good, and overall this was like a 4* hotel but with shared dorms, highly recommend!

Location is OK for such a big city, the format of the hostel (few apartments inside a building, familiar to those who travelled in provincial Chinese cities) is a little odd but works; common room is small, but staff do everything they can to be helpful
Thank you for your comment. We are samll hostel and have only small common room. But we think small common room is that you can make freinds easily. We hope you enjoyed in Kyoto!

Pretty decent hostel for Manila. A little pricey given that rooms have no windows, but otherwise good value for money. If the staff cared a little more it would have made it even better

There should be a special place in hell reserved for hostel that charge for blankets. End of
we do not charge for blankets. when you request we give you 1 unless its a aircon room where there is blanket provided. tq

It's not a hostel, rather an apartment (randomly placed inside a huge residential complex), and the feel is of staying at someone's house rather than a hostel. That said, it's cheap, and the owners really do everything they can to please

Fairly empty atmosphere, but fully compensated for by a range of facilities normally not seen in Asian hostels (Including a self catering kitchen, free washing machine, and a roof terrace). Staff are trying their best, but seemed hopeless at time, especially with regards to navigating Tianjin (could be confusing)
