Seven Hostel

Sorrento, Italy

really nice place and seems great at first but there are some things wrong with it. maybe just because it was the off season but there were ants in the rooms and our shower drain didn't work properly. large lockers in rooms and good wifi. breakfast was just croissants and cornflakes. staff were very helpful. 10-20 minute walk from santágnello station and 30-40 minute walk from sorrento itself.

Corner House

La Spezia, Italy

not a hostel but an apartment with extra beds. no lockers. close to central station and supermarket down the street. was there during off season and there was one person in the other room that i never saw so the atmosphere was virtually non-existent. kitchen and washing machine for you to use just like in a normal apartment.

medum sized lockers in rooms. wifi unstable in bedroom but fine in lobby. people quite inconsiderate in the kitchens. not a great deal of socialising but maybe just because it was off season. right near a metro stop and the naschmarkt and only ten minutes walk from staatsoper and centre of city.

i loved this hostel!!! all the rooms are decorated in such a cool way and it set such a nice atmosphere. i think this hostel is one of the reasons i liked prague so much. kitchen is small but good wifi through rooms and medium sized lockers in rooms.

The Cat's Pajamas Hostel

huge kitchen. people were friendly and it was nice to have everyone cooking together. computers for you to use and right at a ubahn stop with a huge shopping centre across the road. clean but only small lockers in rooms.

Stayokay Amsterdam Vondelpark

Amsterdam, Netherlands

free breakfast was really good and great location right at vondelpark. zero atmosphere though. maybe because it was off season but there was hardly anyone in the bar and people in the lobby were just there silently charging their phones. wifi didn't reach bedroom.

wifi was slow and kept dropping out the entire week i was there. about 15 minutes from the louvre by metro. a lot of patisseries and supermarkets nearby. bar downstairs has reasonably priced food. staff are really friendly and there's a good atmosphere. beds are little cubicles with own curtain, light and powerpoint which was excellent and rooms were clean. fresh towel each day. large lockers in rooms. no kitchen. a lot of toilets and showers but showers were a bit scummy.

Pension Goiko

San Sebastian, Spain

really helpful staff! right at the centre of old town with a lot of bars and restaurants around and the beach a one minute walk away. good wifi. free breakfast and kitchen facilities. no lockers. only one bathroom but wasn't a problem for me because i was there in the low season. have to be quiet after 11pm because in a residential building.

Kabul Backpackers Hostel

Barcelona, Spain

don't stay here if you want to sleep! great party hostel. very friendly staff and awesome place to meet people. three free basic meals served every day. lockers in rooms. laundry services. no powerpoints in rooms so have to charge phone etc in common areas. wifi didn't reach my bedroom but staff are happy to move you if they can. no kitchen. right on la rambla so metro and shops are close.

Euro Inn

Milan, Italy

you get what you pay for. shower very small and dirty. one toilet for whole floor. no lockers or kitchen. staff very cold and distant. not far from metro station though and okay if you just need to spend one night.
