On the whole this hostel was really good, for its quirkiness and fun. However the lock ups are under the bed and you can easily get in them from under the mattress. On numerous occasions peoples stuff went missing during our stay. This put us on edge during our stay and meant we had to carry all valuables with us. We stayed in on two of our nights and woke up to the security guard entering the room and standing in the room. He then went into the bathroom and stayed in their for a while.weird

hi guys - we're glad you enjoyed the prison theme. the graveyard shift is always a problem since no body in their right mind wants to do that job (pun intended). we have replaced the security guard. thanks again for bringing this to our attention.

Eric is a really helpful host and ensures that everyone was happy. He provided us with a map that was really useful and gave us detailed ways of getting to top places.the location is next to a metro that is easy to get to the main areas of São Paulo.

This hostel is one of the best we have stayed in as far as atmosphere, friendliness and location. The location is in an old vavaleir which adds the extra touch - it is perfectly safe!!! It is a short walk/motor taxi to copocabana beach and you can also see it from the balcony. The only thing is that breakfast costs an additional 10 real which We would have preferred it to be in the original cost. But other than that we would strongly recommend this hostel for an excellent experience.

The staff were really friendly and help us on several occasions. The hotel generally is ok but if you do want to sleep at night this is night the hotel for you to stay in. The bars are 24/7 and play one cd rally loud despite hardly anyone in the bars. You could always ask for a non sea view it may be better :)

Enjoyed our stay. When we walked in it looks like a construction yard but the front is not ready as the rest was fine. Don't be fooled by the beach park 25real that is actually for the lift and the park actually costs 170 real when you arrive. Overall the hostel is good value for money and is friendly serving a really good breakfast :)

Loved staying in this hostel - the staff were really friendly and relaxed. They advised us on good nights out and they were very welcoming. Would have liked to have used the swimming pool but it was out of use but overall a very welcoming hostel.
