We had one night we needed to come back to Rotorua. We had such a great experience we came back here no questions asked. When walking in, we received the same hospitality we had the first time around. They even remembered us from our last visit there! The owners take great care of the facilities. It shows through their staff as well. Though the cleaniness of everything is necessary, it is the owners and staff that made this an incredible place

I would highly recommend this hostel to all backpackers. The location is ideal as it is right in the middle of town. Every time we walked in the staff would smile and greet us. They gave the hostel such a positive environment. You can tell the staff are all hard workers. The rooms, kitchen, bathrooms are all Spotless. You get much more than you pay for. I cannot rave about this place enough.

It was not worth the time or money. There are so many hostels in central Auckland I wish I would have spent the extra dollar or two a night. There area it was located on did not represent Auckland well. The rooms were stuffy and smelly, and the facilities were not tidy or maintained. Hi Jordan, thank you for taking the time to place feedback on your stay with us and we are devastated it did not live up to your expectations. We are awaiting a long promised building renovation by the owners that will see an end to most of the issues you describe. Please take my word that a lot of care is taken in trying to keep the hostel as clean as possible but it is taking more and more work as the building gets older and older. Kind regards

The staff was super friendly and very helpful. Always put a smile on our faces. The hostels room had key access entries. Each bunk had a small locker for personal and important items. The only downside was the odor of our room. It seemed to be a mix of body odor and old hosing, and combined with humidity it really made the air potent. It was hard to breathe at times. That kind of made me feel dirty, though everything was freshly cleaned (bed and bathroom). But it was a great plae for the money.
