We loved this hostel. Great staff. Breakfasts were fabulous. Relaxed atmosphere, a short walk to the main street. Angela is knowledgeable shout local activities and was able to find us forro classes with the fabulous Mel. Clean, bright rooms.

This is a party hotel on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, loud music until late. Not enough shared bathrooms, have to go into other dorm rooms to the bathroom. In serious need of new mattresses. Not enough cooking equipment, cutlery, plates etc for guests to use. Great location and staff. Nice breakfast. Could do with some basic maintenance on doors, bathrooms, security lockers etc.

Mixed quality of staff. The person who checked us in was not friendly or helpful anddidn´t show us any of the facilities. Paraty was very humid when we stayed and the fan in the room was not adequate. There are signs al around the hostel prohibiting things (i.e. no frying of food) which made the atmosphere a little less friendly. My main issue with the place is that there is only one shared bathroom, so those rooms with no ensuite end up waiting quite a long time for the toilet/shower.
