This hostel is in a lovely building and there is a good bar with cheapish food and drink, the rooms are okay but the bathrooms aren't very clean. The staff were very unhelpful and a little rude at times, there was only one member of staff who took time to help us with our visas. The clean the rooms at 8/9am sometimes which is quite annoying and the reception seemed very disorganised, the mucked up the locker keys so someone else had the same key to our locker with all our precious belongings.

A great hostel in a lovely quiet part of the village, the staff were very friendly and the bedrooms were very clean and had great air con. The building the hostel is in is old and beautiful and we had a great time here, I would definitely recommend it. Make sure you ask for directions before you arrive as we asked people in the village but no one knew where it was.

This hostel was very modern and clean with great facilities. It was very conveniently located and the staff were extremely helpful, they gave us lots of detailed information about buying tickets to the Sumo wrestling and even wrote sentences down in Japanese for us. There is great free breakfast and the rooms are spacious and cool. I would definitely recommended this hostel 100%!

We only stayed for one night but the hostel is in a great location and they lady upgraded us from a dorm room to a private room with no extra fee, very kind! I didn't see any lockers in the hostel but apart from that this is a great place to stay for a short time in Himeji!

This is a very small homely hostel wi very friendly staff, it is only 5 minutes walk to the castle which was very convenient. The stand have book and many leaflets on things to do around the area and train timetables which is great. There is only one shower but as it was quite a small hostek it wasn't a huge problem. A lovely place to stay a few nights.

Kawaguchi-ko Station Inn

Mount Fuji, Japan
74%

This is a nice and convenient place to stay and it is very clean but there is not much of a hostel atmosphere but if you were in and out to see Mount Fuji then it is just fine :) There was free tea and coffee in the basement which was great and an onsen upstairs which was lovely after a day of walking. There were no lockers to store our precious items during the day which was one of the downsides,

This was a lovely hostek very close to a station so easy to get around. The hostek has a nice common area to sit and meet other travellers. He bathrooms are very clean and the showers are great! There was a free breakfast of unlimited toast which is fabulous for travellers but there is nowhere to cook your own food, although this isn't really necessary as the street food is quite cheap. I had a great time at this hostek and would definitely stay again!

The Station Backpackers

This hostek was good value for money and quite close to the main area, walking distance. It is a huge hostel and we were into he 3rd floor so we didn't see many other people, there seem to be quite a lot of people living there whilst working in Auckland. The bathrooms were fine and the kitchen was great but here was another kitchen on the 3rd floor that was not so clean so use the main one! A good cheap stay!

This was a great hostel, very clean and good facitilities.there was a great a good atmosphere and they organised a night out every night. The bar in the hostel was very cheap! The only downer would be that there was no oven or stove in the kitchen and the rooms were quite small.

This hostel has newly been taken over which is why it has no reviews. It is in a great location in South beach but most people staying there seemed to be living there . The rooms weren't clean and the bathroom looked new but again, it needed to be cleaned. There was a full kitchen but the oven wasn't plugged in and there were no plates or pans or cutlery, so a complete waste of space. There was breakfast in the corridor but only on one of the days. There are better hostels in Southbeach.

A great hostel in a great location with great public transport 1 black away. Each night they had a meal you could buy for $5 and the portions were huge. Great if you couldn't be bothered to cook! The staff were friendly and everything was clean. The only thing is it was quite cold, although we were given a portable radiator.

Drifter Jack's Hostel

Drifter Jacks is a cool place to stay in a great location. There is a bus stop and a 7 eleven right outside the hostel which is convenient! . The staff are really friendly and very helpful. The rooms are clean and the shared bathrooms are too. I would definitely recommend this hostel! The only downside was that there was not a stove or oven to cook your own meals, only a microwave... Although it is a new hostel so there may be one soon!
