Great hostel. A bit far away from the most touristic part of the city. The staff is not so warm and welcome like in other HI's.
This is a nice place to stay. The staff is extremely awesome, helpful and friendly. Moreover, because the hostel is fairly small, it is very easy to meet other guests and make new friends while enjoying a beer during their happy hour.
The staff is extremely helpful and welcoming and they do help people to mingle and interact. The only problem with the hostel is that there are not many bathrooms, so that it's very likely that you will have to wait for a while before using it during "peak hours". Also, the WiFi didn't work very well, but it is tolerable.
The location is great - very easy to walk there from the pier and there are many restaurants and shops close to it. The only "problem" is that it is a bit far away from the main beach, where most of nightlife is (nothing that 10 minutes walking won't solve). The bathrooms are a bit smelly but it is not their fault, I've seen the cleaning lady working all the time there. For the security - they have small lockers and CCTV in the rooms, which is very good.
Despite the reviews mentioning excessive noise, I had absolutely no problem with that. The apartment is GREAT, spacious and has plenty of room. Something bad is that it does not have WiFi, but you can find your way around it easily.
The hostel is 10 minutes away from the airport and it costs you 120 TBH by taxi to get there. Easy and practical. Moreover, you can have coffee, tea and toasts all day long wit no extra cost. The owner is very helpful and lovely! Moreover, she helps you with tours, information and maps. My 6-bed mixed room had its own bathroom, which I consider to be very nice since it gives you more privacy and can be easily accessed, once it's attached to the bedroom.
The staff is extremely helpful and the breakfast is pretty cool! I just found it a bit far away from the city centre, but it is still easy to get there by bus/train anyway.
