Nice room with two bathrooms (m/f) When I was there we were just 3 people in the dorm which was nice. Renting a motorcycle is too expensive but it's still a great way to get around. Clean bathrooms/no wifi - but you can get that next to the supermarket which is a 2 min walk.

The best hostel I've been to in Colombia! It's clean, nice, colorful and the rooms have AC. The staff is SO nice and helpful and the other travellers made it a great experience too!

a very clean hostel! You get towels for free! unfortunately there was no nice atmosphere at all when I stayed there..not a lot of people and there is no comfy common area apart from the tv room which wasnt really being used. More party backpackers there than “chilled“ ones

This place is the right one for you if you dont really care about the cleanliness in the bathrooms. The toilets were falling apart and the three days I stayed there, there was always the same old tissues on the floor in the showers. The dorms are good. The people there like to get drunk and do “other things“ so if you are looking for a very laid back place you should go. The music stays turned on until 11-12pm and on very high volume. All in all I'm sure there are better places in Essaouira.

It really depends where you stay - the dorm with 5 beds in the patio comes with a private bathroom and is warm, so it's the best dorm in the whole house I guess. The one on the rooftop - 5 beds - is colder and to get to the shower and toilet you have to go outside. The owner Mel is very nice and tries to make everyone happy. Youssef and Mels partner can be a bit harsh and rude when they are stressed...breakfast is good

So pleased you had a good stay, and that you loved the breakfast, yes the courtyard ensuite is the gem room and in winter the top room which is the most budget is just that, the most economic but come spring summer that is the most popular as you are by the awesome terraces and its nice and cool inside. we do try and make everyone happy, yes this new years has been stressful, full house, people coming in without bookings wanting to stay and not many other quality options to choose from, but we try and mask our stress faces but in closed quarters and moroccan living which is one of the beauties and makes these houses so original and local living which is what the traveller is trying to find comes the good sometimes the bad and rarely the ugly!!

VERY cold at night, not enough bathrooms for so many people especially because the showers come together with toilets. Very easy to get to know other travellers. Nice breakfast and nice rooftp. We got ripped off when we booked a bus to Fes starting from the desert - there was no bus and we had to take a private taxi they offered us and pay again.

It was a nice place but the staff is not really organized. If you asked them to ask you with the air condition, the bed bugs or new toilet paper they needed a lot of time to get it done. Especially the bed bugs treatment wasn't succesfull at all and after we had to leave for 4 hours we found new ones crawling up the lockers... All of the 7 people sleeping in the room were disappointed, because it seems like the people who work here don't really care anymore about the reviews...

Beautiful view over the beach, but the rooms are very small, there are no lockers and no safes, but the opportunity to keep your things in a night safe in the reception. Nicw hostel though - but they should definitely offer a certain safety standart

All in all it's a great backpackers to stay in! You feel very safe and the people are nice. The only problem is the wifi - you get a free code but have to get a new one every 2 hours and sometimes it doesn't work at all.. But a perfect place to spend your time!

Hello Katharina - thanks for your comment and I am glad that you enjoyed your stay with us. You are right - issuing those vouchers for the free wi-fi is a real pain (specially when they don't work!!) but we are looking at a few new systems. In the meantime, at least most of the time your free wi-fi works :-0 Regards Lisa
