The staff were friendly and helpful. The bar wasn't too expensive and had a lot of meals to choose from. The location is good, not too far from the train station and also fairly close to the river. Only problems were we were on a high floor and there is no lift, and there is only one washing machine which was constantly in use.
The location is good, not too far from the train station. We had a nice room which was cleaned daily, although the beds were a little hard. The staff were very nice and helpful, they spoke very good English. The bar was furnished nicely and wasn't too expensive. Would definitely stay here again!
When we booked this hostel it said a 10 minute walk away from The Bund - however it's at least 2 line changes away and more than 10 minutes on the tube! The directions on the hostelworld iPhone app are wrong and it sent us to a different Blue Mountain hostel (not what we wanted after having a long train journey to Shanghai). We had to wait about 10 minutes when we got there as although we had booked no double rooms were available! The room was clean and big and the staff were fairly helpful.
The location was good as it wasn't too far from the West Lake and about a ten minute walk from the shops. The room we had was a double, although the bed was very small. We found it a bit odd that the bathroom door was pratically see-through. It was fairly good value for money, although we paid extra for a better double room and the only difference was that it had a tiny window. Only one staff member knew English, the others could not understand us. The walls are very thin - a lot of noise.
Our room in the hostel was very clean and the cleaner would come in every day to change the towels. The bed was comfy and the room was a good size. The staff spoke good English and were very helpful. The hostel is in an excellent location, it is on Metro line 3/4/11 which is fairly central, and is only a 5 minute walk from Caoyang Road station. The food was very nice and reasonably priced. They actually have a dryer which works fairly well and they kindly kept our bags for us free of charge.
Amazing hostel - cannot fault it! The hostel is being converted from a hotel so it feels just like staying in a basic hotel. We stayed in a double room and the bathroom was lovely, the bed was so comfy and a good size. The staff here are lovely and very helpful. The food here is reasonable priced and good quality. The bar has an outdoor area which gives amazing views of Xi'an, especially at night. The hostel is only a 5 minute walk from the city wall and Metro so is very convenient.
The staff are this hostel were very nice - the owner of the hostel helped us book train tickets and also arranged for a taxi to take us to the train station fairly late at night. The double bedroom we had was Chinese-style which was nice, although it made the bed and pillows a little uncomfortable. The food was very nice. The staff also kindly helped us rent out bicycles for a very cheap price. The atmosphere at the hostel seemed pleasant and overall we had a lovely stay.
The hostel seemed very secure and they kindly let us leave our luggage with them for a day, locked away safely in a cupboard. It is in a very good location as it was only a 5 minute walk from a fairly central Metro line. The staff were very lovely and helpful, speaking good English. The bar was very nice and reasonably priced. The computers worked well and had webcams so you can use Skype. Overall it was a good stay and excellent value for money.
The hostel was about a 5 minute walk from the Metro. The staff at the hostel were friendly and helpful with fairly good English. The atmosphere here was good as the staff were friendly and there were a lot of regulars in the bar who always seemed friendly and helpful. The cleaner came in everyday to change our towels and wash the floor in our room. We were a bit disappointed with the 'bar and restaurant' which didn't actually serve food and the prices for drinks were a bit high.
