Staff were very helpful and friendly. The meals at night were delicious and inexpensive. The wifi was terrible though

Staff was very friendly and helpful with recommending places and explaining how to use the public transport options. Kitchen was big and very clean with all cooking utensils available (and a microwave, which is not always common). Free caipirinhas on Friday and Saturday nights were delicious. Lapa area is vibrant and not too unsafe at night

The hostel is a little bit away from the beach, but it definitely has its own "foresty" appeal. The rooms are cozy and each set of 8 or so beds is in a cabin with its own bathroom (which is kept quite clean) and a deck/patio to hang out or hang clothes. Staff are very friendly and speak many languages. Highly recommend this hostel if you're looking for a more laid-back, relaxed vibe (they have yoga every day). If you're looking to party, Che Lagarto on the main road is probably a better choice.
