Ô de Casa Hostel

Hi there, the staff were incredibly helpful when it came to information about Sao Paulo. However we had no water in the private room area for a couple of days. It wasn't the fault of the staff or the hostel but it took a long time for anyone to come over and provide a temporary fix, eg buckets of water to wash hands, hosing down the toilets. There were regular cleaners but in this case more action needed to be taken. Also beautiful wall paper in the room but not one hook to hang anything.

Had a great stay at Jollyboys. Lovely room and garden around the rooms. Amenities block was light and airy and good little pool. My only complaint would be that the menu is very Western, the beef stew was very bland, like school dinner, and no maize meal was on offer. Also the tv is always on sports and Western music it would be great to see some African music videos and hear some Zambian music. The bar was an excellent social hub and the way you can book so many activities was brilliant.

Thank you for taking your time to review your stay with us. On the menu most people turn to go out especially when it comes to Zambian dishes at local restaurants in town. We used to have it on the menu but it never sold. We will make sure we have a variety of music for the bar. Looking forward to your future stay!

Good sized room, sometimes there is no warm water in the shower at peak times. Staff are very helpful and allowed us to leave luggage there for free when we went on a Safari break. Good computer and internet that is also free. On the menu they do an excellent Grilled fish (Zambezi Bream) I had it 3 times, also with the option of Maize Meal)
