7th Nov 2016

Very nice Hostel with agood connection to the skytrain. Staff was very, very friendly. Always a good atmosphere in the coffee/bar/hostel. Got to know great people! We (couple) were staying in one of the private rooms. Aircon and showers were working perfectly.

Willy Fogg Hostel, Montevideo, Uruguay
6.6
22nd May 2014

Willy Fog Hostel is kind of a hippie hostel. I really felt safe there and we met a lot of nice people but the 10 bed dorm was kind of disgusting. it had a fusty smell and it was molded. As we had only one night there i was glad that i didnt have to take a shower essentially. the breakfast was nice.

El Sol Hostel de Recoleta, Buenos Aires, Argentina

20th May 2014

The hostel is really close to avenida 9 de julio, hence to all the main sights. The staff always helped us with whatever we needed like transfer to the airport, tickets to Montevideo,.. the hostel includes a bar where u can have nice evenings and they have a lot of bathrooms. unfortunately the kitchen is really small and not that clean but the breakfast is really good with a lot of sweets. the bed in the six bed dorms were really instable that i was sometimes afraid it would break when i turned.

Hostal Laskar, San Pedro de Atacama, Chile
6.0
29th Apr 2014

As San Pedro de Atacama is generally a bit pricy, the Price was ok but you don´t get breakfast, they dont even offer salt or oil for cooking which was normal in every hostel i´ve been to. the staff is nice, bathrooms are ok as well. the guy from the hostel offered us a trip in the desert and after i told him that we booked it at another travel agency he was kind of strange afterwards. all in all it is nice.

It was a nice hostel, we stood there for only one night but they offer a really nice breakfast. It´s warm sándwiches out of the sandwichmaker. nothing special but different from almost all the other hostels. its a basic hostel but you have a lot of bars close and the staff always helps you when you have a question.

I still regret having been there only for one night. It was one of the best hostels Ive been to. The staff was great, i got to know a lot of nice people, they dont offer breakfast but you get a voucher for one of the best cafes where you can have a really good and cheap breakfast. The evening I was there was the last evening of one of the staff so we did a pre in the hostel and went out afterwards. everything was really clean, the citchen is perfect for whatever you wanna cook.

Hostal El Refugio, Pucon, Chile

It was the first time I went to a Hostel that had staff who were backpackers themselves. That made the Hostel quite special because they welcome you like friends, help you in every situation, recommend you trips and activities they recently did themselves. Staying in the Hostel was like staying in a family. We also did a lot together there like eating, cooking, booking same activities. You only have to sign up for what you want to do and they organise everything for you. Go There!!

Patagonia House, Punta Arenas, Chile
6.0
24th Feb 2014

My stay in Patagonia House was unfortunately not what I expected. I already travelled a lot and currently I am sleeping in Hostels almost every week.In Chile it was one of the more expensive hostels and as we had a six bed dorm the beds are already really old, the "breakfast" is a package of toast with dulce de leche and butter and it isn't even that well situated. The staff was nice and they organised transportes if we needed them but all in all I have to say it's too expensive for what you get

Hostel Shakana, Puerto Natales, Chile

22nd Feb 2014

The hostel is really small and familiar. We arrived, everyone was friendly, sitting together in the kitchen or living room and talking. Especially the owner was very occupied to help us with all our questions because we had some problems with finding a place to sleep. In the morning you get a small but really nice breakfast. He prepares eggs for everyone, you get toast and cornflakes, as well as coffee and tea. In addition the hostel is very close to the central station.
