Ok hostel, kitchen to use and free breakfast is good. Staff friendly. Far out of the centre a little, but we didn't mind walking.
As far as St.Chris Inns go this is the best of them for me, I've stayed in 4 now and this one was the only good one, staff were friendly, breakfast good, showers good, bar was a nice place to meet people. Only problem for me was not having wifi in the rooms. Would probably stay again.
Expect a lot more from a hosteling international place. Rooms and building was dirty. Beds uncomfortable and dirty, there were stains on my sheet. No wifi in rooms just in lobby. Well far out of the centre. Staff seemed ok, breakfast was good. Would not stay again. You can probably find somewhere better for a similar price.
Ok hostel, but not great. Hostel is far away from train station. Staff are friendly but didn't give much advice about what to do. Pizzas from the bar are terrible and way too expensive for what they are. The bathrooms are supposed to be checked every hour but they did not clean them even when they were dirty, just walked in and ticked of that they had been in. They didn't tell us that you had to pay to store your bags until check out which we thought was terrible - annoying but not too bad place
A very nice hostel all in all. A little off putting as the 1st words on their info are 'this is not a party hostel!!' But it turned out to be a fun place down to the people we met there. The 10 min talk about things to do in Lagos was funny, but nice at the same time. Breakfast ok, showers good, terrace nice, beds ok, air con awesome. Would stay again.
Fantastic hostel, one of the best I've stayed in. Breakfast was awesome, staff are incredibly friendly, got to know everyone, it was like a home away from home. Only downside was the toilets were very small and cramped. But this was a minor thing compared to our overall stay, we came back and stated another night a few days later it was that good! Awesome hostel, stay here!!
It's ok, I've stayed in better and worse hostels. Staff were very friendly and only the son spoke good English. The breakfast was ok. Kitchen was tiny. There not really a common room to hang out in and meet other people. Central location.
Fantastic hostel! Spent extra few days here because of the awesome people working there. Oven didn't work which was annoying but other than that the kitchen was great. Great hostel to meet new people. Clean rooms, good showers. Close to the station and supermarket. A little far from the beach but not too bad, great terrace as a chill out spot, the BBQ was awesome thanks for that guys! 100% recommended. Stay here!!!
Nice hostel, staff were great. We were sharing a mixed dorm with a weird guy and so they moved us no problem. Kitchen is ok, large but the fridge really smelt bad, I don't think they cleared it out at all. Apart from that the hostel was generally very clean. Showers were awesome. €7 to rent bikes for the day.
A few staff did smile at us but apart from that it feels like we were bothering them. The breakfast was terrible, yes it's free like at all the other st.chris inns I've stayed at but there was never any cutlery or plates? The staff were literally throwing cheese and ham onto plates in the middle of the pool table. When I asked for a spoon, they said that they were washing them all? The bar was terrible, we ordered a veg meal and it came with meat, very overpriced. Clean but toilets dirty/smelly.
Great location, great facilities (including good kitchen) but breakfast was just bread, butter and jam. (But it is free) Only 1 toilet in the entire hostel so that was frequently dirty and smelly (no window in the toilet room) although they cleaned it everyday. Staff super friendly and great advice on what to do in Marsaille. Would stay again even with the bad breakfast and toilet.
Only 2 toilets, kitchen was pretty dirty so didn't use it. But the guy was really friendly and breakfast was good. Rooms ok. I liked the tank with terrapins. Would stay again for those little guys. 4. Sure!
Really great place, felt really at home here, which is an unusual feeling in a hostel i think. Kitchen was really good, there's even an oven. Staff were friendly and it's a great location, right next to the beach. Only thing is the breakfast was really not that good, it's free so I can't complain that much but it was just individually packaged crossaints and they all ran out super fast if you don't get there early. Overall though great place to stay in Nice!
It's a big chain place, so obviously you don't get the atmosphere of an independant hostel, but it's really clean, good bar (not too great food - came cold) but comfy beds with plugs and lights, beautiful spot on the canal. Took us about half an hour to walk from gare du nord. Overall decent place.
Hardly and facilities, only a microwave and little hob. The place is clean but the showers were terrible, like standing under a tap - literally it was either burning hot or freezing cold. The one staff member we ever saw was awful. When she checked us in she didn't smile once and just said one word sentences like 'passports' and 'follow'. I had to go back and ask her for a map and where the nearest metro was. And for wifi etc. extremely odd woman. Would never stay here again.
Nice hostel, good friendly feel and nice staff, especially the new guy Alex!
Giovanni's is a great hostel! He makes you very welcome and feel right at home. The only down side is that he smokes but the man is a legend and his pasta and risotto are awesome! He has a wealth of knowledge about the city wich was great. Wouldn't stay anywhere else in naples. Well worth €15!
One of the staff members here was really rude, when we walked in she didn't even smile and acted like it was a hassle every time we asked something. Horrible woman. On the other hand the other staff were lovely! Dawn especially was really kind and chatty, so Thankyou to her! It's just a shame about the other woman. Hostel is clean, kitchen good, not a far walk from the station, or the colosseum. Oh and Breakfast in the morning wasn't bad either.
It's ok, but our bed sheets definatley hadn't been washed, they really stank of B.O. It wasn't nice. But the girl working there was lovely, apart from that though this hostel is very average, no atmosphere, ok location. No kitchen. Not even a microwave, basically a hotel with dorms.
An ok hostel/hotel, Venice is expensive but it's worth the extra money to be on the island itself, this place is fantastically close to the train station and the staff are ok, apart from that, not much going for it. Wifi ok but you have to sit in reception, you get money off the cafe next door as well.
This hostel is all round average. "Perfectly fine"
This is the best hostel I have ever stayed in. I've stayed in over 50 hostels and none are as good as this. The staff are incredibly friendly and always offering help with organising travel or things to do in Ljubljana, the hostel was always spotless, the staff clean every day. The beds are very comfortable, with plugs and reading lights, there was even a balcony in the room. Great Kitchen to use and they do laundry. Free breakfast was great. The atmosphere was fab. And this is all really cheap!
Right around the corner from the station, other than that, terrible hostel. Overpriced and there's hardly anything included in the price anyway. No kitchen, No laundry facilities. Overpriced bar. Cleanliness is fine, staff were poor, quite rude and just didn't care about you at all. A O are just hotels with dorm rooms. There is never any 'atmosphere' we have stayed in 2 A O's now and this will be the last. It doesn't deserve to be called a hostel.
Really great hostel, it was cool being at the top of the residential building (there's a lift don't worry) and the space where the hostel was is really cool too. A great area to chill and chat with the staff and other guests, nice free breakfast - cereal and toast. The staff are really friendly and really helpful, the girls on reception especially were all willing to give advice. Good showers, wifi, comfy beds, cheap price, central location...what more do you want?
Good hostel, cheap with free breakfast, good location up the hill.
A different place, the dorms are separated around the street, with the front doors leading straight into the 'bedroom' part of the area, with a little kitchenette at the back (kettle and microwave). Can't complain about the location at all, you get what you pay for, not a bad hostel by any means :)
Hostel was fine, OK for a chain, but staff not that friendly, kitchen was dirty and there was no oven and only one microwave, so there was a que of about 20 people waiting to heat there microwave meals up at 8 o clock on Friday night. Good location at least. Rooms clean and secure. Overall - average hostel.
Lovely hostel, nice staff and good location, 10 min walk to the main square. Common room wasn't very lively, we ended up sitting with our roommates in the room rather than the common area. You have to pay extra but there was a good breakfast basket too, at a good price.
One of the best chain hostels that I've stayed in, suprisingly homely feel that you normally only get in independant hostels. Bar was great with cheap good food (plus hostellers discount). Staff friendly :)
Cool place, people friendly, annoying that sheets and breakfast cost extra
Hostel great, staff nice and helpful. Kitchen could of been a bit better, limited amount of utensils but there are loads of great places to eat out cheap in Brussels. Overall very decent hostel.
