Super clean, nice and quiet. Loved the rooftop patio with BBQ, although we didn't have time to make use of it. Only negative is the limited options for common area. Unless you want to pay for internet, the free wifi only reaches the main floor. If you're lucky enough to grab a spot there's a tiny common room with a TV on the main floor that seats about 5, otherwise you can hang out in the busy kitchen. No wifi in your room or on the rooftop--we ended up chilling in our room reading our books.

Super friendly and helpful staff, very clean place all around. Great facilities. If you find the main floor kitchen cramped, remember there's another upstairs. Only complaint was the location of our room--sandwiched between the main kitchen and outdoor patio/common area, not much quiet time (even 6 people talking @ reasonable levels comes across as noisy when it's right outside your window!). Definitely recommend this place, but if you want a double room request another besides #10.

Stayed here before and after a camping tour in the outback. Quiet, within close walking distance of town. Convenient storage for packs while on our outback tour and on our last day before our flight out. Heater in room good for cooler nights. Free breakfast was simple- toast and cereal. Was disappointed to find the kitchen and bathrooms to be a bit on the grungy side and in need of some work--bring your shower shoes. Worked for what we needed, but would look for a cleaner place next time.

Fabulous hostel. Large rooms, comfy beds, quiet atmosphere, super friendly and helpful staff. Free parking was easy. Apparently others have found the kitchen to be too small, but we never had a problem finding space to cook. 4 gas stove tops with 4 sinks, great set-up. Only complaint is the oven was too dirty to use (smoked up the kitchen). Everything else was clean. Bonus--big tubs if you want a bath instead of shower!

Yep - we feel we have a great kitchen. hence people want to cook, so it can be busy at the peak 6:30 - 7:30 times - catch 22 situation :) Roasts, bread & pizza cooking all the time. Cheers for the review Neil Have cleaned the oven

A bit of a hike up some steep hills from the city centre (walked there with our packs, took the bus on the way out), but definitely nice and quiet. Kitchen felt a bit cramped with other guests milling around, but we never had to wait for stove space and found enough space to store our food. Sharper knives would have been great. Socializing was kind of awkward as most of the other guests were staying long term, knew each other, and were all from Germany (we're Canadian).
