LOVED this hostel. Fantastic location, fantastic staff, I could not recommend it enough. The kitchens and common rooms with each floor were an unexpected bonus, aswell as the delicious free coffee - and free bottles of water! Completley deserves all the awards it has been given. A lovely stay, didn't even feel like a hostel.

Very big, clean modern hostel in a great location. Really enjoyed my time here. In a 8 bed mixed. Plenty of space with SINGLE beds! Always nice. Didnt try the breakfast but it looked ok. Free tea and coffee. Decently priced bar, nice social atmosphere and pool table. Bike hire at hostel was useful too.

What I expected for central Amsterdam. Staff fairly rude, didn't seem bothered by us the paying guests. Rooms tiny, rooms far too hot, too cramped. Was on the 5th floor so was a long walk to the top... Hostel feels dirty, certain "coffee shop" smell you can't escape from. Lack of atmosphere, even during world cup games! Bar at hostel not too overpriced. Very expensive for what you get.

For a first ever experience of a hostel I was pleasantly surprised. Good location near Gare du Nord and not far from the metro in Montmarte. Big social area with tv and a ok atmosphere. Rooms are spacious enough and bathrooms are ok. I felt welcomed and safe. The hostel was "OK." Nothing special but nothing terrible.
