I think this is more of a hotel than a hostel. If you are backpacking and want to meet people, I will look for a smaller hostel. Seems like it is mostly bigger groups staying here. Also the location is a bit off.. There is some restaurants and a huge shopping center nearby and walking distance to La Sagrada Familia, but other than that the neighborhood is not charming. But dorms are nice and the beds are comfy.

Really beautiful hostel with authentic Spanish interior. Great location - close to Picasso museum, restaurants and Alcazabar. Awesome breakfast buffet. Free beach towels and parasols. Lots of common areas to hang out. The dorm was very hot though, and there was no light or plugs at the bed. The atmosphere was fine, but more hotel than backpacker-ish.

Cons: They overbook the hostel, I heard one of the staff members tells a guest, that it is normal procedure, to accept customers even there are no beds available. They will just put an extra bed in the dorm. There is not enough bathrooms. We were 10+ people to share ONE bathroom. The shower was kind of broken, so every time you showered, the floor would be all wet. Security is lacking. No common area. They only accept cash. Pros: Great location and beds are comfortable, dorm with AC.

Pros: big kitchen with great supplies to cook. super clean hostel both the dorms, bathroom and kitchen. Location is awesome, and close to city center. Cons: music is super loud in common area. The hob is really slow - took me 20 minutes just to make scramble eggs. The beds makes this awful sound every time you turn over. But overall it is a nice hostel, and great value for money.
Hi Louise! Thank you very much for your comments, we will take into account what you tell us about music and cooking. As for the beds, perhaps you noticed a slight noise caused by a hypoallergenic cover that we use, so that you have greater safety and hygiene in the mattresses. We hope you visit us again soon! It would be great to see you again. Hugs!

This is one of the best hostels I've stayed in in Guatemala! Love the atmosphere and I met so many great people! Nothing much more to say really! I had an amazing time and I can definitely recommend staying here!!

I had a very mixed experience here. The interior is not in good shape. The cleanness is very poor and the bed was bad. It had an atmosphere of somebody's home though which I kind of liked. Unfortunately I got food poisoning after eating dinner here, so I had to stay one more day than planned. The owner was really kind to me - such a sweetheart, but the guy Mitch was drunk all the time and I felt uncomfortable in his presence. I would only recommend to stay one night here if necessary!

Many activities as yoga, movie night and volleyball. Partis every night. I found it difficult to meet people if you don't party - it's more like a hotel/restaurant. Way too many people! The cleanness in the dorms are aweful - sand in my bed and the sheets were dirty with blood! Leftovers with flies in the room as well as dirty underwear in the shower. Dive center was amazing though and I had a great experience with the dive masters. Would only stay here because it's the only hostel at the island

This is a really nice hostel with a great chill atmosphere! The staff is very friendly and helpful, I bought a tour to Chichen Itza with pickup at the hostel - very recommended! The Italian owners make you breakfast and dinner every morning and night, and you all eat around the same table, which makes it really easy to meet new people. Beds were ok, but no hot shower in the court bathroom. Anyway, I'll definitely stay here again!
