Awesome hostel! Great location, gorgeous set up, brilliant breakfasts, super comfy and generously sized beds, rad common area, palm trees and hammocks, great staff (except one dude who was rather rude) and an all round wonderful experience. Highly recommend!

Room007 Ventura Hostel

Clean and modern hostel with friendly staff in a really great part of town: smack bang between Sol and the big galleries, and surrounded by awesome bars, tapas restaurants and flamenco tablaos. Yet the hostel's kitchen consists of merely two microwaves, and there isn't really a decent social space, which makes meeting other travellers hard. OH, and it's very much worth noting: IF YOU BOOK THROUGH HOSTELWORLD YOU'RE NOT ENTITLED TO BREAKFAST. Seriously.

St Christopher's Barcelona

It's a big hostel but it runs like clockwork, with a team of cleaners that seem to never sleep and one of the best bars/social spaces I've seen in a hostel. Brilliant location at the top of La Ramblas, right next to a metro & train station, and within walking distance to a few Gaudi's. The little curtains and huge lockable cages are the cherry on top.

Yes it is a big clockwork :)!. Thank you very much for such a good review, it makes us really happy to know that you had a good time and enjoyed all our services! Feel free to choose any of or other European or Uk locations that are as central and as good as this one! Thank you again Barcelona team

These guys go the extra mile to make sure you have an awesome stay. Definitely not the most social hostel I've stayed at, but hey, it's Florence, so what do you expect? The breakfast is insanely good too. Thanks for everything!

The use of 'Palace' in this hostel's name is definitely ironic. I can only echo all other reviewer's advice: don't get the breakfast. Get it around the corner from the yellow hostel's cafe. Better yet, stay at the yellow, everyone there seemed really happy.

Dear Madam, It is fine for us that you recommend the Yellow hostel. However, you may need to post a review after you actually stay at the Yellow. Frankly speaking, it is not responsible and useful at all for future travellers to suggest (echo?) a place because "everyone there SEEMED happy.".. We are also afraid we may not understand well your sense of irony, either. Thank you anyway for your comment. We wish you the rest of your trip has gone well and you have fully enjoyed it.

Great hostel, awesome location, loved having to get a vaperetto to go everywhere (make sure you get a pass and not buy individual tickets!) An awesome base to explore Venice from!

Was surprisingly shabby when compared to the Vienna wombat, and in a slightly dodgy neighbourhood. Wasa. Little bit disappointing.Everything was decent enough though. It's a pretty social hostel- the beer garden tour was awesome!

Hi there! Thanks very much for your rating! What exactly do you mean with "shabby"? Our house is older than most of the Vienna babies and there's quite some construction going on right now. But feel free to write us an e-mail: office@wombats-munich.de to give us some hints. We're always happy to improve. :) Also, don't worry about the area. Yes, it's the train station but Munich is safer than a Montessori kindergarden. ;) You'd rather get bullied by cops when crossing red lights. Have fun!

Great hostel, awesome location, supermarket next door, big rooms and clean bathrooms. Lots of big tour groups though, with underage travellers: hostel has more of a family vibe than a party, but fitting for Vienna. P.s. go to Dr. Felafel at the market across the street! Yum!

Great hostel! A little outside walking distance from major sites, but public transport is so cheap it really doesn't matter. Really great downstate pub and the breakfast buffet was epic.

I was really sick for most of my stay in Amsterdam, so spent a lot of time in the hostel. Rooms were spacious, beds comfy, bar seemed fun, sweet leafy green window views over the adjacent park and a huge team of diligent staff cleaning the place constantly. Great location too, I just wish I was well enough to enjoy the city more.

Decent hostel, but quite run down, the bathrooms are mouldy and it's a bit of a walk into town (not huge though, Bruges isn't that big). Not many showers and wc between rooms. Great bar and fun vibes kinda makeup for it's shortcomings. Kinda.

Awesome hostel, loved the beds! Great facilities, clean and safe! Definitely get the breakfast, it's the best hostel breakfast I've seen. Lots of school groups there during my stay, but it's a big hostel so it's no big deal.

Really great hostel, in a gorgeous part of Paris. Only drawback is that it isn't a very social hostel. That said, everyone I shared my room with was awesome, so there was no issue making friends. Highly recommend!

Clink78

Huge hostel and really well managed by a great team of staff, awesome atmosphere with internal bar, lots of common spaces and clean rooms. Dorms feel a little bit like Japanese capsule hotels, which is ok for a night but might make you go a little crazy after a few. Starting point for group tours so you'll meet a lot of chatty and excited travellers.

Pretty average hostel- run by travellers who sleep in the dorms. The place stinks, and the kitchen is a mess. Common room is tiny and leave little options to hangout outside of the cramped rooms. Awesome location though. Good just for sleeping.

Isaacs Hostel

Dublin, Ireland

No wifi in rooms, only in the downstairs common area, and it's very unreliable. No lockers in rooms. In a slightly dodgy part of town (there were junkies shooting up in the alley outside the hostel's front door). Dirty underwear from previous guests was left hanging in both the bathrooms and my dorm room throughout my stay, questioniing the hostel's cleanliness. It's a bit of a walk for decent pubs and resturants, but I guess it's a place to sleep. Expected a lot more considering the reputation.

sorry you didn't seem to enjoy your stay. We do clean every inch of the hostel every single day - the clothes might not have been removed in case a guest was looking for them.

Excellent location, great vibe, great facilities, lockers in room, good breakfast. Only issue was the bathrooms- too few, the one on our floor didn't have a functioning sink, and often busy (and the hostel wasn't even full). I recommend showering at night as there were line-ups in the morning. Despite that, it's a nice, big, friendly, safe hostel, would definitely recommend :)
