Great place to see Kos, but definitely far from the city centre. It's about a 10/15 minute walk to the main area of town which is a bit annoying, but the price makes it very worth it. Definitely a hotel so don't expect to make any new friends in the lobby area. Clean and simple, I'd stay here again if I wanted a relaxing time in Kos
Far from Rhodes Town, you definitely need to take a bus to get there, but it's a nice place. The staff is helpful and fluent in English, and Vivian's family is very cute. The bathrooms could be a bit cleaner and there was no safe but otherwise the rooms were comfortable
Very nice place, super helpful and friendly staff, great host, and located a few minutes walk from the centre of town. Would definitely stay here again
Excellent hostel, great staff, and by far the best meal I've had in my two weeks in Turkey. I would highly recommend Saban to anyone who wants to relax by the beach, experience some delicious Turkish food, and do a bit of partying in the woods.
Great location for the Old Town and the harbour, but a bit far from Konyaalti beach. The staff is eager to help and their advice is quite good, but I did not see the advertised pool, breakfast was average, and the towels provided had some obvious stains. On the plus side, they did give us a private bathroom at no extra cost.
Mustafa was an excellent host, fun to talk to, and very eager to help us get the most out of our trip. Try to get a room with a window otherwise the bedding is quite damp. I highly recommend a stay here if you're looking for a relaxed time in Goreme
Great location for the Blue Mosque, Ayasofya, and Topkapi. The staff very nice but not that great for refering us to restaurants or bars. There was an ant problem the first night but the staff cleared it up right away when we pointed it out and it was fine after that. Good place if you're visiting Istanbul for a few days
Pretty much a hotel. Not at all a hostel experience. Reasonably close to the beach, but we stayed here to stay far away from the party area so it worked for us. Super close to the airport and reasonably easy access to Uluwatu and Tanah Lot temples. Day drivers are available for day hires at a good price
The staff is incredibly friendly and the owner is always there to gve advice for food or things to do on the island. Very close to the beach and bars but far enough away that there is no noise at night. Clean, comfortable rooms. Hard to meet other travellers because the whole property is only 4 rooms, but otherwise I would highly recommend Gili Nyepi
Rooms were small but they had everything you would need (lockers, space for bags, hot showers, good bathrooms, clean). Our room seemed to be in the storage area though so we didn't have wifi in the room. We could go to the common area but it was burning hot, so staying there for more than 10 minutes was impossible. Staff was awful. The simplest requests were treated with anger, disdain, or indifference. Stay here if you need a bed and nothing more.
Tough hike to get there, but located an easy 15 minute walk from the sunset viewpoint and a 25 minute walk to the sunrise viewpoint. Rooms were essentially like living in a wooden cabin, but the common room was very comfortable and great for meeting other travellers. Overall a great place for seeing the terraces if you don't mind the initial hike with all your stuff
Clean, spacious rooms, helpful staff, wonderful tours and rentals available (¥20 for a good bike for a whole day), rooftop garden, mini library, located in the middle of downtown Yangshuo without being surrounded by loud establishments. This was my favourite place to stay in all of China
Probably one of the worst hostels I've ever stayed in. The room was incredibly damp and smelled like it was full of black mould. Both of us developed a chest cold after staying here. The only positive was their fruit salad yogurt breakfast but even that was overpriced. This place should be an absolute last resort
Super close to the park and they offer a free shuttle to the park in the morning. We got bumped up to a private room for free due to a mix-up, they bore all responsibility and there was no problem at all. The staff (one guy was there pretty much all the time) is very helpful but speak limited English. Breakfast is good, but look elsewhere for dinner unless you only want cup noodles
Comfortable beds and rooms. Everyone seems to do laundry here because the top floor outdoor common area is covered in clotheslines. Common area is busy but it gets loud at night which is annoying when you're trying to sleep. About ¥40 to the pandas by taxi. The staff is great, they mailed me some items I had left in the room for super cheap
Great place. Clean rooms, newly refurbished, a bit small but comfortable. Staff is super helpful and they have free events at night to help you meet other travellers. Rooftop patio and pool table area are super relaxing and beautifully decorated. Great place to stay to experience Xian and the surrounding areas
The dorm rooms are a bit crowded, but they have an ensuite bathroom and safes. Kind of hard to find originally and not very close to a subway station, but walking distance to Tiananmen Square. Bar area is fun and relaxed. Nothing exceptionally good or bad about the Leo
