We stayed in a 2 bed room with shared bathroom, actually located across the street. It's a long way from the airport but once we were there we walked everywhere, very close to the grand bazaar, blue mosque, Hagia Sophia, Bosphorous, cemberlitas hammam. Room was very basic. Bathroom shared, a little grimy in the shower and leaky but otherwise decent. Big shared kitchen which we didn't use. Internet didn't work in the rooms across the street. Lots of shop owners trying to sell us stuff.

We got a huge room with a loft. Light didn't work in loft. Decent bathroom with blow dryer. Took us a while to find from bus station but ended up quite close to city center, and the man at the front desk was very helpful and helped us make what we believe to be the most out of our short stay in Santorini. Good free internet, good breakfast.

Morfoulas Studios, Mykonos, Greece

Morfoulas son emailed us early to check our arrival time and met us at the port with a welcome sign. Our room was beautiful with a deck with a gorgeous view of the sunset. Came to clean our room every day, and the linens smelled amazing. Blankets were very comfortable. Very walkable to little Venice, but kind of far from popular beaches, but cabs were cheap. Great internet access. A quick knock on door to arrange for ride back to port. I LOVE MORFOULAS STUDIOS!!

Was able to walk to acropolis, metro, the archaeology museum, and a very nice part of Athens (psiri) from our hostel. Was upgraded since they were full to a studio with private balcony. We heard some lady got placed in a mixed dorm and was unhappy. Rooftop bar packed and slow at Happy Hour but a fun night. Showers hot with great water pressure. Beds clean and comfortable. Internet 6 euros for 24 hours but then it stopped working so that was a waste, and the one employee was little to no help.
