Friendly staff and bar with view was awesome. Nice place to meet people with lots of activities each day. The free dinner is simple but satisfying. I would recommend staying in the rooms with air-con, not just fans as it can get quite hot and stuffy.

The outpost hostel was clean and had everything you needed. It’s a bit out of town but is walking distance from some nice beaches and restaurants. The staff we friendly but unhelpful when asked simple questions, as if they were annoying by having to amuse new comers.

Awesome hostel, close to JR lines and subway. Breafast was good value for extra 350 yen. They had activities nearly every night. Good way to meet people as people were not very social in the actual dorm rooms.

Great location near the station. Lots of free amenities like espresso, shower products, towels. Only downside was the beds moved everytime someone walked around the bedrooms. Had to ignore at 5am

Awesome hostel! The staff were amazing and super helpful. They made sure that there was food i could eat (vegetarian) at a japanese restaurant i was going to by messaging their friend that worked there. They had events every second night which was entertaining and good to meet people. It was a littlw annoying when they held events for external people only on a Saturday night as it ment we couldnt enjoy the common space but that was the only downfall.

We only really slept there but there seemed to be lots of good parties going on and it was pretty easy to get to the strip.

Great small hostel. Staff were extremely helpful and helped book a tour for us and cooked us pancakes in the morning. Its a bit of a walk to the french quarter but it didn't bother us at all.

Only spent one night here but it was good fun. Free meals, drinks and cheap entry to clubs, great value.

Best hostel I have stayed at in NY. Although it is located in Brooklyn, it's located right near a metro station that is a short ride into the city. Rooms are a little weird, they have open ceilings so you can hear everything on the entire floor. Bathrooms were great and i especially like the pool and table tennis tables.

Cheapest hostel in NY and you will know why. Rooms are tiny and bathrooms are gross. It has a nice common room and kitchen which is helpful. Great if you just want a bed for sleeping.

Great location and pretty good price for a private room, even if they are tiny. I did have a friend who had cash stolen from here so keep your valuables locked up

Staff were the worst I have experienced at a hostel. The staff took my full payment for the room, in cash. I booked a private room but when I got to the room they had put us in a 6 bed dorm. When i explained that there had been a mistake the staff proceeded to tell me that they did not have 2 bed dorms. They would not give us our cash payment back. So in the morning we left and got the payment for the other nights put back on our card. INSTEAD, they charged us another $300. Complete idiots.

Good hotel with nice rooms. Bit too pricey for what you get and the location. Location is at least 20 mins drive from the nearest train station. Unless you have a car it is very hard to get to.

Good location and beds. Not great value but it's the same no matter where you stay in NY. Free breakfast was always gone when i got there.
