Hostel Kojic-Bar

Room had everything you need for a comfortable stay. Room came with a balcony which. A couple of small shops nearby and Its about a 15 minute walk from the port but you would need to get a taxi (around €7) to the old town as it might be easy to get lost on the way there. I stayed 3 days which I felt was too long as there isn't much to see in Bar.

Best hostel ever. Staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and had good recommendations for things to do. Location was great as it was round the corner from republic square and Bohemia street. Has a very good social area for meeting other people and a smoking balcony. Hostel was very clean and nicely decorated and smelled good as well and in the morning you get a good breakfast at no extra cost, just tell them the night before what time you want it. Couldn't recommend this hostel enough. Amazing.

I rented one of the private rooms which was in a seperate building from the main hostel so can only speak for it. The room was very close to the bar which was open quite late and there was a lot of noise coming from it so found it hard to get some sleep, also the curtains didn't keep out much light so it woke you up in the morning. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the location was easy to walk to most of the main sights.
