We only have one word for this hostel... BORING! They boast on NOT being a party hostel, which is fine. But this hostel was the opposite of a party hostel really, it felt like an elderly home. No atmosphere at all. Not the best choice in Banos, except for the price.

Thank you for that review. . REALLY thank you. We really hope that people LIKE YOU WONT come to our hostel EVER, so everyone who likes: to get morbidly wasted, to get into fights, to be disrespectful to other tourists, to destroy private property, PLEASE STAY AWAY. We welcome tourists who enjoy having a good time, your review is so bad that is completely laughable, you should become a stand up comedian and read your reviews. :D . . What a bias, funy and disrespectful reviewer . ahahha

The hostel in general is nice, with a patio and a common room with dvd's. The room we had (4 bed dorm) was freezing cold night and day and same goes for the showers (there is hot water). Breakfast is VERY basic. Not a bad hostel, but defenitely not the best we have seen in South America.

Periko's has been good to us during our stay in Bariloche. Room was charming and clean and its only a few minutes away from the city centre and busstops. Staff was friendly and helpful and the hostel is able to book a lot of tours and activities.

Ocean Inn Rio Botafogo

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Trough Hostelworld we found this hostel and the name is misleading to start with. No oceanview. No disaster, but a little weird right? The dorm we were given was more like a closet, stuffed with 4 beds and no window. The only airsupply came from the AC, but during the day the room developed a funny smell. Not too nice. The owner was actually rather unfriendly and the breakfast sucked. Actually the only good thing about this hostel was the location in the middle of Botafogo near the metro.
