Pro's: good location, bus station, town centre is easy accessible on foot. Welcoming and friendly receptionist. Con's: bathroom facilities are not clean, rotten doors, small ants, cockroaches. Room was very basic, bed, fan, plugin, thats all. Smoking (local) people in the communal area, disgusting. Overall not really a place to meet travellers from all over the world. If you can lower your expectations regarding cleanliness to minimum, that's ok. Otherwise stay at a nicer place with more atmopshere

Gap Year Hostel

I cant say anything really negative about this hostel. The dorm has a good size, ac works well, (sweet) breakfast included, comfy bed, reading lights and personal plugin, only a few minutes walk to mtr, food court and a nice swimming complex.Shower etc. are very basic, but in general clean. Be aware that Lavender street is a big and busy road, making it quite noisy in the dorm from the early morning. The lockers dont make a save impression. If you dont need fancy interior etc. thats a good deal.

Hong Kong Hostel

Welcoming and friendly staff, just a few minutes to MRT Station Causeway Bay and Bus Stop from/to the airport. 7/11 and big supermarket round the corner. Comfortable beds, lockers provided. Rooms on different levels, and not very spacious, but thats Hongkong. Electricity (therefore AC) doesn't work when no one's in the room, so no device-charging and room cooling possible while you're absent. Bathrooms small (toilet/shower in the same room), but clean. I enjoyed my stay, would come back again.

Fun Taipei Hostel

Just a few minutes walk from Shilin Metro Station, the Shilin Night Market is located round the corner. Staff (especially Alice) is very welcoming and helpful. Rooms have a good size, aircon works fine. Beds have reading lights, plus there are lockers in the rooms. The free Breakfast is simple, but more than enough (Bananas, Toast, Jam, Coffee). The "kitchen" is very small, though, so don't expect any higher class cooking facilities here. Bathrooms are clean, but quite humid. Recommended!

Very close to haeundae Beach (and the metro) with its several bars and dining out options. Very clean and stylish facilities plus code secured dorm doors. Basic breakfast (toast, jam, eggs, juice) is provided. Lacks a little bit of a cozy atmosphere, common room has a "Café like" look. The dorm i stayed in had no Windows, no personal lights and got Quite Crowded with 8 people plus luggage. Shower room has no private cabins, but that wasnt a Problem. Its definitely worth the money.recommended.

Homo Nomad Hostel

Nice and cozy guesthouse, located in a quiet street. A big supermarket is less than 10 min on foot, the Bus Terminal about 15 min. Tumuli Park is about 10 min on foot. Dorm room was spacious enough, but the bunks dont have curtains for some privacy and no personal lights. Kitchen was well equipped, staff is friendly. Toilets (3) and shower (2) are outside, but only a few steps, so this wasnt a problem at all. No curfew, no keys for gate/rooms, but felt safe. Would stay there again.

Seen cleaner Hostels in Japan (speaking oft long hairs in the washbowl and on the floor), but the staff is super friendly and helpful. 7\11 just around the corner, only 3 minutes from Fukushima Station. Good area for cheap food. All in all, good value for money (2.200 Yen for 3bed Form). Recommended!
