Great atmosphere with nearly daily events being run by friendly, knowledgeable guides. Good location and facilities; the nearby supermarkets are nice to have with and with three stoves and sinks, and 4 refrigerators there's always room to cook. A popular Sunday flea market is only 10 minutes walking distance, and Gran Via and the centre of the commercial action is only 15. Museums and the park are a short 15 minute walk as well, definitely recommend!
Great hostel, decent priced drinks, well-priced food (though I didn't end up ordering any), beds were comfy and clean as were the rooms they were in. Great evening atmosphere with performances and an in-house bar/DJ as well as a lounge. Cool art and design throughout the hostel!
Good facilities in most buildings (only missing a stove in a few). Showers/bathrooms are nice, and the hostel is well-cleaned. Staff were very kind and helpful throughout my stay. Breakfast was good (and included).
No locks on bathrooms (im guessing on purpose, they seem to have been ruined/altered for this purpose), no open lounge, no fridge/refrigeration facilities (but of course you can buy their beers if you're thirsty ;) ), no kitchen, suspicious clerks confronted me saying I should have left without checking and seeing that I had booked another night with their colleague that morning. nice patio for smokers I guess? Games room available, but only for certain hours (never got to see it). Beds were ok.
Great hostel! The owners/operators Barbara and Carlos were wonderfully accommodating, even reducing the charges for missing one night due to travel difficulties. Thoughtful and well arranged/decorated spaces (which there is much of, it's a large hostel!), breakfast is nutritious and tasty Beds are comfy, lockers are spacious. Great directions to local sights and restaurants, and a genuinely warm feel from the amicable hosts. Well equipped kitchen, refrigeration as well as beers for sale!
My favourite hostel! Great location, every staff member is ready and willing to help you find anything you need, and has a great knowledge base of the city. Gas stoves, fridge, plenty of room, many showers, and a rooftop terrace with a wonderful view are just a few of the great things about this Hostel. Excellent atmosphere, it's easy to find great companions and with it's central location you're sure to find a good night out any time you desire. Breakfast is plentiful and included!
Great location right near Ponte Vecchio Bridge and numerous squares. Justin at reception was great in ensuring you had a good stay and found all of the sights, food, and attractions you're interested in. Very knowledgeable and helpful. Staff cooked dinner and accompanied us to a nearby bar and club one night, in addition to hanging out with us in the hostel in the evenings. This all created a great atmosphere. Great value too, full kitchen, fridge space, good wifi, would recommend to any/everyon
Bit expensive at nearly 30EUR a night, but it is Rome after all. Great location, once you get your bearings it's about a 5 minute walk from the Termini Station. Great reception, the host mapped out 2 days worth of attractions and bus routes, with a route planned that would be easy to follow using the bus system. Also got a bottle of wine! The initial reception area looks a bit run down, but not to worry, you will be led around the corner to the comfortable, clean, apartments shortly after arriv
The middle-aged staff who ran the hostel seemed very disengaged, uninterested and uncaring towards residents. Couldn't drink your own beer in the lounge, I was asked to drink it in my room if it wasn't a beer bought at their bar. Wasn't able to store my drinks in the fridge, so it was either warm beer or their beer. Smoking room was nice and had a good view. Beds were also decent and there were lockers. No hot water on some days in the showers, which seems a little strange in Central Amsterdam..
Great stoner atmosphere (the included smoke room is awesome, you don't even have to find a coffeeshop for the same vibe), kitchen is a bit cramped but breakfast is good. The stairs are a pain but lots of hostels are floors up themselves, so it's not much of a difference. Would definitely recommend, staff are friendly and helpful.
Despite the distance, much better ambience than Stadsdoelen, and it's actually nice to have such a relaxed setting away from the city core. Happy hour and good breakfast and facilities, would recommend despite price.
Great location and good sleeping accommodations, not much of a lounge/meeting place for fellow travelers though. Breakfast was decent as well.
