DO NOT STAY HERE. this hostel has closed down and become really dirty dormitory accommodation for factory workers. The owners haven't bothered to update anything and I arrived at 11pm to find out. AVOID

It's not fair that they're using the old hump hostel listing, it's a bit scammy - completely different hostel and hostel style and type, change the map please! Incredibly difficult to find, even for a local

Just a bar and a nightclub with some bedrooms above. Not a hostel at all. Staff only care about the locals having a good time and won't ask people to quiet down late night when others are trying to sleep. There were huge drunk mid week fights at 3am and staff did nothing. Only go for the good breakfast.

The facilities not good - no plugs and only 2 bathrooms between everyone which is impossible. The plugs that they had were put in strange hard to reach places and there were only one or two. tried to charge something only to have it unplugged overnight for seemingly no reason. Staff didn't seem to have basic knowledge of the most popular things to do. Couldn't sleep all night because of the noise in the street and people banging the door all night as staff didn't let them in. Good breakfast.

No lockers, no locks on doors, no locks on the gate, no security at all. No atmosphere, there is a common room but a group was using it when we were there. The dome idea is nice but it is so expensive for what it is - more expensive than hostels in Puerto Natales that I stayed in and in hostels there is more heating and kitchen facilities and security etc. Good showers and okay breakfast though.

Really good hostel! Amazing breakfasts and free shots. Comfiest beds ever. Good location and great atmosphere. Only things are that the Wi-Fi sucks and because loads of the staff are foreign they can't always give local advice

The hostel tried to charge me 100% of the bed when I arrived at the hostel and claimed that the 10% I had paid hostel world was a commission that I was responsible for. I've stayed in many hostels and this just is not the case. Ended up telling me I could pay up or lose the bed. Rude staff who are condescending (particularly to women I noticed). In addition, it is a really overpriced hostel and just not worth it. No working Wi-Fi. Some weird cooking rules in the kitchen. Look elsewhere!

Really good hostel in nice location, close to the metro. WiFi sucks but the walk up the stairs is worth it for the really nice rooftop terrace

Really cold hostel that has building work going on so is loud 9am-6pm. The rooms are absolutely freezing at night so I had to wear all my clothes. There is no atmosphere here at all. It was almost like a hotel, it's not like a hostel at all. The showers are bad and there was no hot water when I was there - not good considering the temperature. Can't recommend.

It's really not very clean and the showers/ upstairs toilets aren't good. Carlos the owner is great but there are times when there are no staff about and if you're lucky other people waiting to check in will let you inside. The other staff member spends his time drinking and taking drugs in the hostel if he's in. The outside areas are nice.

Party hostel bubble that's hard to escape due to its location. Really loud music all the time until late at night. Feels like you're not even in Colombia. Nice pool and hammocks though

Dr Carmela is incredibly kind and helpful and went out of her way to help me. Her English is very good. She is very welcoming and friendly. The other staff don't speak English.

The hostel is good and the breakfast is amazing. The beds are incredibly comfortable. The staff are really friendly. However there are just not enough showers! The ones they have aren't that clean. Staff asked if I had suggestions on checking out and I said there needs to be more showers. It's low season and there weren't enough. They then explained there are more downstairs. Noone in my dorm all week knew that, none of the staff had explained on the quick tour. Tell us please

Good hostel, good value for money, really close to bus station and short walk to centre of town. Helpful staff and tour agency within hostel. Free beer evert night after 8pm. Cosy beds, only niggle was lack of plug sockets and the upper bunk beds had nothing to stop you rolling off!

This hostel is good value for money. Be aware that in the summer the lack of air con/fans in the rooms is a real problem. There is no wifi in the rooms but there is wifi outside and the garden is lovely. No lockers/room or flat locks. This place isn't a hostel so don't expect a hostel atmosphere. The lady who runs this is really friendly - contact her in advance to get directions as it isn't easy to find and directions aren't helpful. V close to bus stop so easy to get to old town.

Literally have never stayed in a better hostel. Fantastic location next to the bus station and old town, amazing welcoming friendly staff who are so helpful, free breakfast and food and refreshments, fun and colourful common areas. Amazing value and really good facilities. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Really nice new hostel with great beds and a fantastic amount of lockers per person. It is about a 30 minute walk from the old town. The staff are really nice and helpful. When the hostel is full there are only two showers between 16 people which when everyone is going to the beach and it is very hot was a bit difficult. Would recommend.

Really really amazing facilities and rooms! Such a nice hostel. I was only there for a night and didn't find the atmosphere amazing but I think that would have improved had I spent more time there. Lovely and very helpful staff.

Really great hostel and really enjoyed my stay here, the guy who runs it is awesome. Only issue as other reviews have said is that one shower and loo is difficult between 16!

One of the best hostels I've ever stayed in. Amazing staff who are lovely and also go above and beyond (laila), best location right next to the basilica, and very secure. Really fum rooms, all the facilities. Great atmosphere. Absolute 10. Completely made my stay in Budapest.

No atmosphere and staff that ranged from uninterested to really unfriendly, unhelpful and grumpy... They had a strange key system that resulted in some individual backpackers getting into trouble when a receptionist lost the key. Spend a couple of krona more and find somewhere else. Decent location though.

Location is good in terms of where it is in the city - Chungking mansions itself is horrible and full of hawkers. The hostel is good for a budget one in Hong Kong, you get what you would expect. Lifts are a nightmare, watch out.

Quite good hostel. Good location and good free breakfast. The cook is lovely and will give you laughing cow cheese if yu ask ;) Good maps provided. Bad wifi and lockers are not provided for everyone, and you cannot check in until 2.30pm which is a nightmare if you have come in very early morning on a night bus!

Really great hostel with lovely staff. A little walk out of the main town but very easy to get to. Close to fort cannon and some great restaurants. Some of the rooms are hot and some are quite cold so check before you confirm your room if that bothers you. Personal fans are provided which is excellent!

Staff were fantastic and the food was good. The hostel is really nice and they have a whole list of comprehensive tours around Guilin for great prices. The Friday BBQ was fantastic and the atmosphere in general was really good. Bit pricier than other hostels but it was worth it in my opinion.

Great location, right in the centre. The common room was really irritating as they tried to make it into a sort of club and the music was way too loud, and there is no wifi in rooms so if you want to use the internet you have to be in there. You can go in the corridor but the spaces are limited. The wifi had a lot of problems. The staff were average but gave me incorrect information about something they definitely should have known about.

Fantastic staff and facilities, offer a lot of good tours and the food is great. Very helpful about a lost possession even after I had left, and they have a really useful bus booking system so you don't have to go all the way to the new town - it comes right to the door of the hostel.
