Sophie's Hostel, Prague, Czech Republic
10.0
30th Aug 2015

Probably the best hotel room I have ever stayed in! We stayed in a private room and it was better than most hotel rooms: spacious, clean, modern and the facilities were amazing (free towels, hairdryer, air conditioning, shampoo/conditioner and a safe for valuables). We only got to stay for one night (unfortunately) but the staff were friendly and helpful, the WIFI was fast and the bar was a great place to chill. Pretty sure they've thought of everything!

Sunrock, Corfu, Greece
8.3
27th Aug 2015

Sunrock is a great budget option if you're not too fussy and happy to spend a lot of time on the beach. Positives: amazing free breakfast and dinner, awesome sunset view, great beach close by and the son and daughter that work there are absolutely lovely. Negatives: make sure you bring mosquito spray as they are really bad, no fans so the rooms are really hot, wifi isn't very reliable and free transfers seem to be done according to the owners desires so we got stuck..

Sunny Lakes is a great value option in a great location. Our room was clean and the facilities were all good aside from the wifi which was often quite difficult to connect to or running slow but I think this was only in the private rooms. We were able to check in at 6am after an overnight bus which was excellent and the staff were incredibly helpful when it came to sorting out buses for our departure. We wanted to go on their boat tour but for whatever reason this kept not happening :-(

Montenegro Hostel, Kotor, Montenegro

16th Aug 2015

We had a generally good stay at Montenegro Hostel - the only huge issue is that there is not nearly enough toilets/bathrooms and some mornings I would have to wait for 3 minutes oe more just to use a toilet. The location is unbestable and the price is great! The woman who cleans and cooks is amazing, her 5€ dinners are delicious and amazing value! Shout out to Kokolo in reception, he was always smiling and welcoming, sorry we didn't get to say goodbye!

We had a great stay at Taso's Guest House - Taso welcomed us with apple juice and was happy to give us any advice we needed regarding places to eat or go out, the hostel even has some deals with some local restaurants so you can get a discount and free drink. The hostel is really small so it's really friendly and everyone is really chatty, Adam &Taso's sister were also both very friendly &accommodating. Theres only 1 (and a 1/2) bathrooms which I thought would be an issue but I never waited.

Really enjoyed our stay here, Cat is amazing and really helpful, she went out of her way to make us feel welcome and organise things for us! The hostel is not quite in the centre of Sarajevo but the view is lovely and the location still makes it easy to access the city. Our room was spacious and clean and the bed was really comfortable! We didn't spend much time hanging around at the hostel but the people we did meet were really friendly.

We had an amazing time at Algarve Surf Hostel - we were greeted by Becks who is super welcoming and really friendly. The staff here are really nice and always invite you to join them going out or having dinner at the hostel. It has a great atmosphere and everyone is very friendly and chatty. I would highly recommend for a stay in Lagos!

Really cool hostel in the centre of Porto - the staff are really friendly and welcoming! The bedrooms are amazing, each bunk has a locker for security and a curtain for privacy and the mattresses feel brand new! They have dinners most nights, which are really fun and the staff come and share a meal and some drinks with you. Great rooftop terrace!

A clean hostel, not in the center of town but easy to get to using public transport. There's a comfy sitting area, although it's not really a hostel for meeting people - this probably isn't the hostels fault but we shared a room with some really strange guys, they were doing drugs in the bathroom and coming in and out at strange times. My only major complaint is that the kitchen is a bit of a joke, one mini fridge for the entire hostel and barely any facilities, don't come here hoping to cook!

Really nice looking and super clean hostel, located a little out of the centre but only a short walk to the train station and your only three stops from the centre. I wouldn't say it's a hostel for a party or to meet other people but it's perfect if you're looking for a clean and comfortable room to explore Frankfurt.

Fantastic place to stay in Cappadocia, we arrived on an overnight bus at 7am and the hostel staff were nice enough to let us check into our room! The room was spacious and clean and the shared bathroom was also good. The WIFI here is really fast and the breakfast is amazing - you can choose from several different meals. The hostel staff organised a balloon tour for us, which was really convenient and they can also organise other tours. Pool was awesome too, great atmosphere, lovely stay!

We had a great stay here, the owner and other staff are absolutely lovely, very friendly and helpful! The location is really close to the bus stop and small main town. Our room had plenty of space for our stuff and was clean, the aircon was a welcome refresher! Free breakfast was also a bonus and really yum, plenty of options. I would definitely stay here again :-)

When we first arrived the guy who works here seemed to have no idea what was happening and kinda just shoved a key at us. Once we had our room everything was great, small but comfy bed and clean room and bathroom and the aircon was really good! At check out the same guy was kinda rude and tried to overcharge us... Aside from our strange interactions with him it was a good location and place to stay but not so much for meeting people!

We loved staying here, our room was changed due to an emergency but we were more than happy with the alternate room and the staff were absolutely lovely and accommodating - they helped us with booking tickets and directions throughout our stay and were extremely nice! The room was beautiful, spacious, clean and had a mini fridge, big shower and comfortable bed! Great location, easy access to several beaches, bus stop outside and several restaurants! I would highly reccommend!

Tony and his wife are really lovely people and more than happy to help you with anything you need - we got a fantastic deal when renting an ATV and Tony was nice enough to pick us up and drop us off at the port! I feel bad mentioning the few negatives - we had no air con and the fan in our room had no cover was was pretty dangerous and we had a few cockroches visit us during the night and the bathroom floor was permenantly wet. Fantastic location and good price so we didn't worry too much.

Awesome location right on the beach, if you want to drink and party this is the place for you! Accommodation is very basic but very affordable for such a great location. The showers aren't the best but bearable for a few days. The food here is pretty expensive compared to other areas in Mykonos. Overall we had a great time because of the amazing atmosphere, people are here to have a great time and expereince the nightlife and we certainly did this!

We had a great stay here, staff are nice and other travelers coming through were also friendly! The only small downside is that every time anyone used the bathroom I was woken up, usually several times a night... We really enjoyed our stay here, the hostel is HUGE and has an amazing common area, bar and restaurant with a rooftop bar also! Free breakfast is awesome, rooms were huge with big lockers and bathrooms were always clean and had toilet paper! No kitchen but plenty of cheap food options around town or at their restaurant. Wifi was a little slow but otherwise everything was perfect, great location and value and I would highly recommend =)

The directions to this hostel aren't very good so we ended up walking up A LOT of stairs with heavy luggage which wasn't much fun. However, once we arrived everything was fantastic, the room was spacious and clean. There shower and bathroom also clean. The kitchen had everything we needed and room in the fridge, great for cooking your own food. The apartment is about 20-30 min walking disance to the Old Town, so not far at all, making this accommodation pretty good value for money.

Staff are amazing and friendly, the hostel is really clean (except for some of the guests not cleaning up after themselves), kitchen had everything we needed and plenty of toilets/showers for the people staying here! Lydia, the receptionist, was lovely, as was Mario who checked us in. You get a huge locker to store all your stuff which is handy too. About a 20-30 walk to the main town but really close to a supermarket. I would stay here again!

We had a fairly good stay here, although it is not nearly as nice as their hostel in Venice. When we checked in we noticed a huge hole in the roof of our tent, staff were really accommodating and happy to move us to another tent, which was fantastic. The location is pretty good, 25 min walk into the city or you can take two different buses from the train station which literally drop you at the door of the campsite. The only negatives would be that the bathrooms were not very nice and smelt..

Good basic accommodation, showers and rooms were clean and comfortable. Location was perfect, walking distance to everything. Good hostel, couldn't fault the location, it's really close to everything and we also found it to be very clean. Loved the free breakfast we had every morning, it was only basics but was always available. This is a pretty small hostel, I didn't really talk to many other guests as everyone seems to go about their own business. My only complain would be that the shower is pretty average, it's clean but often cold and with little water actually coming from it. Other then that no complaints!
