Nice and clean with staff that spoke multiple languages. Not cheap, but that's just what you get in Paris. It is a good idea to packsome earplugs though, it can get noisy on the street outside. Only thing I didn't like was that there was no wifi in the one common area so no one was in it, and it was hard to meet people not in your dorm.

Staff were very helpful and happy to answer any questions. Free breakfast was nice to get. Bathrooms were a bit run down so never really looked clean though they might have been, it was impossible to tell. But a very convenient location, airport bus stops right outside and lots of food places around for every budget. Only thing I didn't like was that they charge to leave your bag for a few hours after you check out. It wasn't so cheap as for that not to be included in the room price.

Probably the nicest hostel I've ever stayed in. It has a great atmosphere, helped significantly by the fun and friendly staff. Kitchen is excellent, with a proper oven. Bathrooms are clean and modern. But best of all it has a great character with lots of artwork from around the world, collected by the owners during their own travels. Basically, the owners have travelled heaps and so know what people want out of a hostel and provide it.

Clean, close to two different subway stations making transit easy, good kitchen and modern bathrooms. Plus cheap places to eat just down the road.

This is a nice hostel, even if it doesn't have a lot of character just cos it's so huge. But by being so large they have all the facilities you could possibly need, helpful and charismatic staff, lots of info on this to do in the area, and are mostly pretty clean. Breakfast sucks though, with extremely artificial pancakes and no other options. Toast would probably actually be nicer. It did have a very party feel to it though, not a place for quiet people who want to sleep.

This was the best hostel I've stayed at yet. Everything has been well thought through and well designed with travellers in mind. It's not the cheapest place, but when you think of the free laundry, international calling, excellent breakfast and all the other stuff they include, it is good value for money. Plus the common area means you get to meet lots of other people. Staff were helpful, and it's only a short walk into the zone where public transport becomes free.

Best thing about this hostel are the beds. They're real beds, not bunks and you'll get an excellent nights sleep. It is however a 10 min walk, plus a $4.25 ($2 after a certain time at night) skytrain ride into the city. It's near a very cheap supermarket and has a relatively good kitchen. A lot of the residents were there for a few weeks, and working etc so it's not a party hostel but you'll meet people who do know Vancouver well.

Wonderfully clean. Nice free breakfast, with actual options and fresh fruit. No laundry is a bit of a pain, as the nearest laundromats are expensive, but that's my only real criticism. Beds are a bit wobbly and squeaky so it's easy to wake people/be woken. Bus stops about 1 mins walk away and goes regularly into the city. Lots of nearby places to get a wide range of food for most budgets. High level of security, without being inconvenient. Great kitchen. Generally a really nice place to stay.

DO NOT STAY HERE! This is not a hostel, it is a private house in a motel. And a filthy one at that. One bed in our 'dorm' was a mattress on the floor. Very little security, no room keys or lockers, or even front door keys. Pretty sure the unusually large number of young women in the motel half were prostitutes. Not even in a very good location and still the most expensive dorm I've stayed in. But worst thing was the filth. Think old food under beds and toenails on bathroom floor.

An important thing to note with this hostel is that it is well out of Suva, about $15 for a taxi from the bus station. There is no in room security, though they are happy for you to leave things in lockers at reception. It was very clean and well maintained, staff were very friendly. Dorms are a bit cramped and the bathrooms are in a separate building which is a bit of a pain in the middle of the night. Biggest criticism is the overpriced food in the restaurant, as outside food is banned.
