Flying Pig Beach Hostel

It has an AWESOME environment, perfect to chill out after a day in Amsterdam. It's a bit far away, yes, but worth it if you wanna take a dip in the ocean before starting the day. The breakfast is good as well, and the room is what you'd expect for so many people (we stayed at the 20 bed mixed).

The hostel is amazing. We stayed at a 8 bed dorm, ensuite, and it was very spacious, light and clean. The kitchen is small, but well maintained and the breakfast is totally satisfying. The only problem is the wifi - it only works in a specific room in the lobby, but they do tell you that on the description, so we weren't caught by surprise.

It was one of the hostels I was most excited to stay at - and I wasn't disappointed! The bar is a perfect place to make new friends, the breakfast is complete and diverse, and the 5 bed dorm ensuite is clean and organized. There was this one night, though, when the bar had already closed and we were ushered to the lobby - we were talking and laughing (albeit loudly, I admit), and a staff member came really agressively to yell at us because of it, with no warning whatsoever. Totally unnecessary.

We only stayed there for a night, but it was very satisfying. The beds were good, the lockers worked just fine and our rooms were cool and spacious. The breakfast is good as well. They let us leave our bags there for the day after check out, although they didn't have proper lugagge storage.

It was a nice stay. It's kinda far from the city center, but the subway served us well. The beds were confortable, bathrooms were clean and big and the wifi worked ok outside the lobby. Kitchen facilities were good as well. I felt it lacked a place to interact with the other guests, though; it's such a big hostel, but the common areas weren't very welcoming for you to stay and talk to others... Dunno. It was a really good hostel, though!

Hostel Meeting Point

Madrid, Spain

It was an INCREDIBLE stay! The location is PERFECT, smack down the city center, walking distance from everywhere! The staff was helpful and warm, and the rooms, albeit small, served us perfectly. There's a yard (field? dunno) right beside the hostel, where everyone would chill and drink and make new friends. The wifi was good as well. And the price! Come on, everything I mentioned for 10eu?! It's ridiculously cheap (the whole city is cheap, really). I loved Madrid and love Meeting Point!
