Ostello Bello Grande, Milan, Italy

25th Aug 2017

Hostel is a 5 minute walk from Milan Central Train Station. Each bed has a shelf with own light and plug. Shower facilities were good and the staff were super friendly. We got a free drink on arrival; and the vibe at the hotel was very friendly and fun. Great that Breakfast was included. There were a couple people that were living at the hostel (students) thought this didn't take away from the traveller feel of the hostel. Would stay again.

GREAT hostel!!! I was here for 2 weeks initially when moving to London and it felt as if I was staying at a friends house. Great warm feeling. Everyone at the hostel is extremely nice. The owners are awesome and friendly and willing to help you with anything. Fully equipped kitchen, 2 power plugs on each bed with 2 usb plugs as well. The beds are great and sturdy so even you cant feel anyone above you moving around on the bunks above you. Not a party hostel but still place to meet people.

Large room with 2 large single beds. Large bathroom and great air conditioning. Room had a fridge which was great to have. The included breakfast was great (tasty noodles) and the location was great, just a minute walk from the popular poopies lane. Great for budget traveling and those wanting to be close to markets lanes and nightclubs. Would stay here again.

Big rooms with a light and Power Point at each with with your own locker - need your own lock though. Big bar and chill out area up on top floor and nice cafe on ground floor as well as a big kitchen. Great location in old town. Activities every night and free walking tour that leaves from hostel. Would stay there again.

Great hostel. The staff know their stuff about what to do and transport in and out of Chefchaouen and Morocco which is great, especially after being told incorrect information seems the norm in Morocco. Great vibe at hostel. Awesome roof top area and view. Great location in old town. Only problem was there was only a couple of showers but no massive problem there. Would stay here again.

Once you step into the hostel you are greeted with the warmest welcome and some delicious mint tea (that you can get any time of day). Layla was amazing and helped us with any questions we had. She even offers henna designs which look amazing. Great location just near the main square where the markets are. Would stay again and did at the end of my 2 weeks in Morocco. Breakfast provided and not many power points in room but able to make do.

If you have stayed at a St. Christopher's before it is pretty much the same vibe. Except this one had a common room with a microwave. Good beds with lockers under each bed. Showers and toilets on each floor and breakfast included. Good bar atmosphere at night downstairs in Belushi's bar. Close to metro which gets you everywhere you need to go. Would stay here again as it was cheap and good value for money.

Had a great stay here. Great facilities, bathroom in down room, power plug and light on each bed and spacious rooms. Happy hour twice a day in bar upstairs and good place to meet people. Has a kitchen and restaurant attached also. Would stay here again.

Has more of a bar feeling than a hostel feeling. I am a solo traveler and found it harder to meet people here than other hostels. Still a good hostel. Good breakfast. Individual light and power point with each bed. Spacious rooms. Good location near metro and short walk to Alexanderplatz station. Couldn't get wifi In the rooms, only bar area and is average when there are a lot of people using it.

Stayed here for 1 night as a stopover. Hostel didn't have much of a vibe to it but was perfect for a quiet night stay. Big kitchen and common areas. Great wifi all over hostel. Each bed had locker, light and power point. Very clean. Would stay here again as it was cheap and all you need.

Had fun at this hostel. The staff were great and very helpful and fun. Had activities (drinking orientated) each night and was a great way to meet other travellers when traveling solo. Has kitchen and big common room. Wifi was great in rooms. Only a couple of power points in room. Would stay here again. Great vibe.

From the moment I walked in, the hostel and staff were amazing. Soldja was very welcoming and always made sure everyone was included and having fun and arranged drinking activities for us at the hostel on nights when the pubs/clubs were quiet. Great spot to meet people if travelling alone. Heaps of toilets and bathrooms. Big spacious rooms and common area and kitchen with a bar inside the hostel as well. Would stay at this place again 100%. Favourite hostel so far on my 6 month trip.

Good hostel. Big kitchen and 2 big common rooms. The staff were great with helping and organising activities. Pub crawls every night (if enough people sign up). Only a couple bathrooms but no a big deal to wait for a couple minutes. Great location in old town. Heaps of power points and good wifi (except in the furthest dorm room). Free waffles for breakfast although I was never up early enough to have them after the big nights out.

Great atmosphere at the hostel. Every night pub crawls that gets everyone involved. Great place to meet people if travelling solo. Free dinner which is amazing. The restaurant does the dinner and the food is amazing quality. Big rooms, lockers, power points and lights for each bed. Lots of showers and toilets. Big kitchen. No real common room but everyone meets for dinner and the 2 hours of pre drinking for the pub crawls. Would definitely stay again. Extended my stay 2 as I loved it there.

Great vibe at the hostel. The staff make you feel really welcomed and make sure everyone joins in the activities (if you want too). It's a party hostel so don't expect a palace but it was good and a great place to meet people. Not a heap of power plugs to charge devices but your usually too busy socialising to care. Would stay again.

Good location close enough to bus station and to the centre of town. Amazingly friendly and helpful staff. Anna was amazing and made us feel very welcomed. Suzie the owner was fantastic. She had a drink for everyone on arrival and was willing to go out of her way to help. She was warm and welcoming and made you feel a part of it all as soon as you walked in. The rooms were good. Each bed had it's own light and Power Point and large locker. Male and female bathrooms with 2 showers and a toilet each. Hostel was full when I was there and bathroom situation was fine. Would stay here again.

The staff were amazing. Picked me up from bus station at 11pm and even gave me dinner as I had been on a bus for 8 hours. Dorms were basic but all you need. Provided with towels and linen. Only a few power points though. Large bath room to be shared between 14 guests. Wish there was a common room for guests to hang out and meet each other. Great tour provided by the son Niño about the war 19 years ago.

Had a kitchen and fridge in room with was nice as well as a kitchen and common room upstairs. Good location opposite beach with activities and just a short walk to old town. I stayed towards end of peak season so was given a 4 bed room to myself which was excellent as I was exhausted. Heard from reviews it was a party hostel and very loud but was very quiet when I stayed.

Great atmosphere. I stayed in a dorm just around he corner (15meters) from main hostel. Great big room. Big bathroom also and individual lockers. Beds were comfortable. Nice vibe at hostel and great location in old town. At check in they give a map and lots of detailed information about where to go and how to spend your days. Best kitchen of a hostel I have stayed In so far - very well stocked. Would definitely stay here again.

Great vibe in hostel. The owner was very friendly and loved joking around with guests while helping them with what to do. The beds all had curtains which were a great help. Limited power points in room but easily made do. The showers were in same cubical as individual toilets which may not be to everyone's liking but also still gets the job done. Had a great time at this hostel.

Had such a fantastic stay here. I stayed for 2 nights (which was not enough) and the owner Ahmet made my stay very enjoyable. He was very helpful with tours and was emailing and helping me with a enquiry for a tour days before I even arrived at the hostel. He also walked me to the Laundry to make sure that they didn't over charge me and walked me to the bus stop to make sure I didn't get lost and got on the right bus. He was always around to help with any queries. He went above and beyond.

Great experience. Even thought it was just a short walk from the bus stop to the hostel, they still insisted that we ask the staff at the bus stop to call and pick me up. They were very friendly and helpful and would do anything to make our stay more pleasant. I missed breakfast one day after going back to sleep after being up at the crack of dawn for hot air ballooning and they made me breakfast when I eventually woke up again at 1:30pm. Two big thumbs up.
