The hostel itself is beautiful, and the facilities are clearly brand new. However, the place is dead. If you are a solo traveller (as I was) looking to make some friends for a day/night or two, do NOT stay here. Not sure what it is, but the common area was super quiet - it felt like an office. They need to turn up the music, make more shared (people facing each other/at the same table) seating, and maybe just put in a basic bar. Great location, staff was friendly, but this is not a "fun" hostel.

Great hostel in a perfect location - you can walk anywhere in Tallinn from here, including the ferry terminal (about a 15-20 minute walking with your bag). I met some great people here and really enjoyed the stay. Unlike many bar/hostel combinations, the bar is located in essentially an adjacent building, so you don't get too much noise from it which is nice. Two big complaints: 1) there are zero power outlets at your bed, and 2) the common area shuts down at 11 - what if I don't want to drink?

Great hostel in the perfect location. Unless you really want to be staying in the Old Town, this is probably a better location than the Oki Doki hostel there since it's much more in the center. There's a metro stop and a bike share station a block away. Did some great activities with the staff and others, and a special call out to Chauncey for a great few nights! I was in a private room which was great. Only complaint is that the shower was super, super tiny, and had no shelf for toiletries.

Great place to stay after arriving in Bishkek and before heading to off (to Osh in my case). Nice and cozy, and staff is super helpful!

We stayed 3 nights at JK House in a private double room. The room was extremely dirty. It seemed as though it hadn't been dusted/cleaned since it was built - the window sills were black. We got them to do some basic cleaning, but it honestly was not enough. The location was excellent, lots to do around and good food/drinks with very easy access to the subway. Staff was very nice and friendly though surprisingly limited in their English. I will not stay there again.

The hostel is very nice with good security (room doors, lockers, and 24/7 staff). It has a decently prices restaurant attached to it with a small bar that is great for breakfast or lunch, and relaxing in the evenings. It's also a good hang out area to meet people. The hostel has desktop computers available but you need to pay for them (if I recall it was 1 yuan/15 minutes which isn't expensive, just annoying). One big complaint is that the WiFi (slow to begin with) only works on the first floor.

The hostel is a great place both to meet people and plan your journeys around Mongolia. Bobby who runs the hostel is just awesome - I really don't know how she finds the time for everything, but she can help you with literally anything and will know you by name after your first night. Check out the tours that the hostel offers since they are great and cheaper (at list for what I found) compared to other places. Also, Bobby knows a guy named Ganba who can help you with any travel arrangements!

The hostel is nice and located in the prefect part of town to get anywhere. Security rated average because it didn't seem that the hostel door was ever locked, though there is 24/7 staff and lockers. The biggest fault is that with only one shower but maybe a dozen beds, the hot water doesn't last long in the morning. Staff was very nice - Sylvia is awesome! This is also the first hostel in Russia that I've been to with free breakfast (bread and jam/butter).

A very nice little hostel that is perfect for being close to the train station (less than 10 minutes while wearing your backpack). If you want to be staying out late in Irkutsk this hostel might be a little far from the fun areas in the main part of town. The place is in great shape and the staff is very nice. No lockers.

A nice small hostel near the center of town with a good kitchen to hang out in. Watch the step going into the bathroom!

A nice small hostel that might be a little too small. The WiFi was very slow, but there are good bars nearby to watch anything on TV. The owner is very nice and leads tours to various locations.

This was a wonderful small hostel located right near the center of the city. It has great security (a gate with security officer, two doors to get through, and lockers), is located across the street from a super market that would put most in the U.S. to shame, and has a great view since it's on the 8th floor. The staff was really nice, spoke English, and kept the place very clean. I recommend doing a free walking tour with Katia, who has flyers up in the hostel with dates/times.

The staff here are great and more than willing to help with anything. There is a nice Ukrainian restaurant next to the hostel with an English menu. Lockers in the hostel are not in the rooms, and there are not enough lockers for each bed in the hostel - there was one day when there was none available to use. There are no heavy curtains to block light into the rooms. Further, art least for men, the bathroom showers offer little to no privacy. A group of kids was there while I was.

You could not ask for a better location. The hostel is very nice. However, the majority of the guests seemed to be long term stays, mostly students studying. This killed the great atmosphere that the hostel has a potential for. Also, not that it effected me, but there is a curfew unless you pre-arrange a time to come back with whoever is on duty.

A very nice hostel closer to downtown Suzdal but also in a quite area by the river. I was literally the only person there when I went.

This is by far one of if not the best hostel I have ever stayed at. The staff is great, the security if excellent (you need to get through 3 doors, one of which is by the check-in/out counter and thus has staff watching it 24/7), the price is right, it's really clean, and in a pretty good location! This is the second time I've stayed here, and it's been great both times. Not to mention the free events!

The Loft was great! The place is very new and it shows. The staff were amazing, and not only helped me with any problems I had, but were also just fun to talk and hang out with. On the map, the Loft is a bit far from many of the main attractions, but this is a misconception. The Hostel is located 4 blocks from two Metro stations, and the two lines that run through those can get you to any other line or to the heart of the city. Area is perfectly safe, even if it seems a little sketchy.
