The staff at his hostel were incredibly nice and helpful. Thanks for everything David and Anna! They know everything there is to know to have a great time in Rio. Our double room was cleaned every day and the breakfast was really nice. The hostel is far from the beaches and other attractions, but taking buses in Rio is quite easy. The only downside is that the rooms are really small because the building is quite quirky, but we had a great time anyway.

The breakfast is excellent and the location is also good - just a few metres from a bus stop. However, our double room was tiny; it hardly had enough space for us and our bags. Also, the walls are so thin that we got woken up by people at night and in the morning. Finally, we were sharing one bathroom - toilet and shower - with more than ten people, which created queues and made it dirty. (The bathroom was only cleaned once a day and it got pretty disgusting). The people at reception are helpful
Thank you for your feedback!Sorry you were here when the hostel was full, sometimes its hard to keep hostel 24 hours clean(we do clean at least twice a day!) (or everyone happy)! 69% is bit unfair as looks like we dont fit what you were looking for! We are a Sharehouse where people are used to share! :) Hotel or pousadas suit you better next time! Safe travels

What a place! This has been one of the best hostels we've stayed in South America. The place is like a hotel. Super clean, with a big kitchen, nice communal areas and a gorgeous pool. It's really close to the bus station for the falls and the dam and also the supermarket. Our room was massive and the breakfast great. Staff were helpful. We wish we could have stayed longer!

The staff were all nice and really helpful. They know all you need to know about the falls. Breakfast was good and the kitchen / living room area big and comfy enough. The location is also good - in between the town center and the bus station. The dorms are spacious but our double was tiny; hardly any space for us and the bags. But we had a great stay and would recommend the place to anyone.

The Ritz is at an exellent location, very close to all main attractions. The building is quite old and therefore noisy - we had a room next to the lift and the main staircase and unfortunately we were woken up by people coming in late every night. The room was a decent size. The breakfast is all right. The staff were really friendly and they helped us with tours and information. All in all, an acceptable place and good value for money.

Mamatierra is one of the best hostels we've stayed at during our travels around South America. It's a really clean place with a lovely atmosphere and an excellent breakfast. The staff is very professional and helped us to organise tours with a good company to Valle de la Luna and Laguna Cejar. The only downside is the noise. Our room was in front of the courtyard tables - as most rooms are - and people arriving late or leaving early to see the geysers always woke us up.

We had a great stay at this hostel. Breakfast is decent, had no problems with hot water and it's quite close to the center. Our room was really big and the bed comfortable. The only downside is the staff. They are all lovely and helpful but really difficult to pin down. Several times we needed something and they were just not there. However, we would highly recommend this hostel. It's great value for money.

This establishment is a hotel, not a hostel. Breakfast was perfectly fine, we had hot water and the bed was one of the most comfortable we have slept in during our travels. It was good that we could leave our bags there while we went to Isla del Sol. On the other hand, the staff could have been friendlier.

We loved our stay in Lucky your house. It's more a hotel than a hostel. Breakfast was excellent and the lady at reception couldn't have been nicer. She helped us with tours and bus tickets and she had it all perfectly under control. Wifi and hot water worked well and our room was a decent size. There's tea available all day.

We had a nice stay at this hostel. The owner, José, is really helpful, chatty and nice although rather chaotic. He recommended a good company with which to trek the Colca Canyon and also kept our bags at the hostel for three days, even though we didn't stay there on our return. The room was acceptable in size. The kitchen is very small.

Although the owner and staff were helpful and friendly we found the hostel to be far too expensive for what it was. Our room was quite small and the bed was the most uncomfortable we have used on our trip so far.

What a great hostel! The staff and the owner, José, couldn't be nicer. They sorted good tours and bus tickets for us and were always ready to help with anything. Our double room was big enough and comfortable. Great service and excellent value for money!

The staff are helpful and friendly - they organise group activities which allows you to meet people. On the other hand, they gave us the wrong information about how to travel to Cajas and on arrival they didn't have the twin room we booked available and we had to spend the night in a dorm. The kitchen and the bathrooms could be cleaner. Also, when we stayed, there was only one shower for the whole hostel, which created problems. It will be a good hostel, but there's some things to improve upon.

A solid hostel. The downstairs restaurant provided a good breakfast and a cheap but good day menu for lunch. The staff were friendly and there is good wifi in the restaurant area. However, the wifi in the rooms didn't work and there was only one computer for the guests to use which was aways occupied. Some things like the lock in our room, the toilet flush, etc. were in need of repair, but it is a good hostel if you only need to spend one or two nights in Baños. We felt safe and welcome.
Thank you for your comments we are always looking to hear what things we need to improve on. Sometimes we need to reset our internet when the guest are having trouble connecting. If you come stay with us again, please tell us so we can address it for all of our guest. :) We look forward to seeing you in the future! Sincerely, the staff of Erupcion

Good, solid hostel with supermarket, travel agencies, bars, discos and restaurants close by. It is a secure place, good value for money. The breakfast is excellent and the staff polite and patient. Would recommend.

The staff at The Black Sheep were really helpful and friendly. Our double room was big enough. The hostel is basically like a small hotel and it was tidy and with a good atmosphere. The kitchen was quite small and it got a bit crowded, but was clean. If I had to go back to Medellin I would go back to The Black Sheep.

The staff at The Dreamer were excellent. It is a big, busy hostel but they seemed to have it all under control, and always with a smile! It was great to have a pool as it was extremely hot in Santa Marta. Our room was big enough for two people but it didn't have air con. It's quite far from town but close to a super market. The only downside was the kitchen, which is small and was quite crowded and not that clean due to the amount of people. Breakfast is good!

Sam's is a solid hostel. The staff were helpful; our fan didn't work and they agreed to change our room without a problem. The atmosphere was all right. In regards to location, it's bang on the main square which is useful for some things but it is also extremely noisy, crowded and with cars everywhere.

What a nice, relaxing, pretty hostel! We had a fabulous stay at the Renacer. The staff at reception were incredibly friendly and our room was quite massive. It even had a desk and a chair! If you want a nice, clean place to relax after visiting Villa de Leyva I would strongly recommend you stay here. It is not a party hostel. The only downside was its location - it's a twenty minute walk up hill from the village, but we didn't mind.

The hostel is on an excellent location to visit La Candelaria. It has a good atmosphere. Our double room was quite small. The hostel is having building work and although it will look really nice once the work is done, now it's a bit like a building ground. However, the bathrooms and showers are new and they were really good! The staff wasn't very helpful and we actually didn't feel we could ask for any information. One of the girls even rolled her eyes when we approched reception!
