The Walrus Hostel

London, England

The bar is a fun place to hang out, the staff are very friendly and helpful, and the shower was in nice condition. The things that are wrong are difficult to fix. The room was very hot. It is right next to a train station and the trains are constantly roaring past. It is very, very loud. Also, there is only one outlet in each room and it's a little off the beaten path. Overall, our experience was okay, but we probably won't be back.

Not a wholelot canbe done here. The room hada fan, but was unbearably hot. The bathroom was dirty and looked like itwasstraight outof a prison movie. There is a police station AND a fire station just down the street, so there are sirens blaring constantly. And the location may be easy to get to from the airport, but it's far away from anything else you would want to do. Mostly, though, the hot room was a nightmare to sleep in. Like the bowels of hell. We couldn't wait to check out.

Thanks for your review. We apologise about the temperature situation, unfortunately on some of the few hotter days it can be quite warm we try to embrace it but can sometimes be a bit uncomfortable. Sorry you found our cleanliness wasn't to the high standard we hope for. Enjoy any future travels!

Hans Brinker Budget Hotel

Amsterdam, Netherlands

The floors were wet, like they had been hosed down. The whole place had a creepy institution vibe and there were teenagers chugging beer at the bar very loudly. We really don't understand the idea behind bragging or boasting about having the worst service, losing luggage, etc. Maybe we are too old for this hostel. We only needed to stay there for one night, but if we had booked a longer stay, we would have left and gone to a nicer. place.

Hi Delilah, Sorry to hear your complaints. We are aware of the terrible situation that happened that particular weekend. Normally we are a fun hostel with many schoolgroups and backpackers and this kind of situations actually never happen. Our apologies and we hope you've had a nice stay in Amsterdam after all. If you have any questions or remarks, please email us directly Greetings, Thomas Hans Brinker Hotel

There's a bar and patio on location, which is nice. This hostel is not very close to the city center. We also liked having a shower and toilet in our private room. The food is good, too. But bring your earplugs. There were teenagers running around, screaming, knocking on doors, playing tag, until very late. I felt like I was sleeping in a high school. And make sure you either bring a towel or have enough money to buy one. They don't supply towels. Overall, though, it was a good experience.

Vita Nova

The cabin was a bit cramped, but we still had fun. Nice, hot showers and quiet nights. It's a little out of the way, but also close to the train stattion, which we liked. Overall, I'd recommend it.

I was glad that the bed had linens. There is also a nice square that the window looks out on.

The loud night club music was pretty annoying. And there was no internet service. : (
