KEX Hostel

Reykjavik, Iceland

This place has an amazing view out into the water and a very cool, hipster vibe. The breakfast is a great deal because Iceland is super expensive, but make sure to sign up and pay the night before because it's cheaper! The only complaint we have is that they don't provide sheets or a blanket... You have to rent those for an extra $8 USD. We just used our travel sheet and towel, but this was the only hostel out of our whole trip that didn't provide those.

Copenhagen Downtown Hostel

Copenhagen, Denmark

The location is convenient and the lobby has a pretty cool vibe. But the bedrooms are so crowded and there are only like three individual bathroom stalls for an entire floor! Also the lobby has no air flow and is super hot, we were all sweating when we were just sitting down to eat breakfast. Overall cleanliness was pretty poor. And it can get loud at night, especially if your room overlooks the front sidewalk or side street where the dumpsters are.

EastSeven Berlin Hostel

Berlin, Germany

Super clean, the bathrooms and bedrooms are spotless. The locker system was great, they were huge and outside in the hall so you don't wake people up packing. The kitchen was fully stocked with equipment and clean. The atmosphere and staff were just blah, but would stay here again!

Hostel One Prague

Prague, Czech Republic

Really enjoyed our stay here! The staff is super friendly and they have a lot of different events organized for everyone, which was fun. The basement bar is cool, the kitchen is nice. Would recommend

The Tent Munich

Munich, Germany

Not too far from the city center by metro. Has a great environment and the staff are awesome! No complaints, would stay here again.

PLUS Camping Jolly

Venice, Italy

Awful... We traveled for 5 and a half weeks across Europe staying in hostels and this was hands down the worst stop of our trip. Not only was reception very rude and generally unhelpful, the "bungalow" was boiling hot and the floors were filthy. We had to sleep with our doors open both nights because the AC barely worked. Bar and restaurant prices are high... We weren't worried about it being outside the city but all of these conditions made it absolutely not worth it. Would not recommend.

Cinque Terre Holidays

Cinque Terre, Italy

Really enjoyed our stay here. Yes, there were like a hundred steps up to our room but the view was incredible so worth it. There aren't any typical "hostel" choices to stay at in this town but we really enjoyed our stay here. The cleanliness could be better but the owners were nice and had nice facilities.

Ostello Bello

Milan, Italy

Look no further!!! This hostel was amazing, free drink when you check in and the staff went out of their way to be nice and helpful. The hostel is super clean, air conditioned, has free breakfast until like 1pm, and even had free dinner the night we were there! We only had one night but left wanting more! Super chill and artsy atmosphere, would definitely recommend!!

Mountain Hostel Gimmelwald

Gimmelwald, Switzerland

Pros: can't beat this location. Also, the hostel is so small you are forced to interact with everyone, which made for an awesome atmosphere to meet people. But.. Cons: There are no lockers at all to hold your stuff, literally everyone's bags were strewn about. There are flies everywhere, especially in the kitchen. Reception was generally rude, we weren't the only ones that noticed. They have a "cleaning lockout" from 9:30am-11am which is terrible b/c people are checking out, done with breakfast

Youthhostel Bern

Bern, Switzerland

Overall can't complain! Really great location, super clean, free breakfast and espresso. Really enjoyed our stay and would go back

Really enjoyed our stay here! Super close to the Gare du Nord train station and huge rooms, bathrooms, etc. The bar downstairs has really cheap food and a nice atmosphere and the laundry facilities were great. Also the wifi was great and worked in the rooms! Only complaint is that it was pretty warm in the rooms but overall we enjoyed it and would stay here again!

Just here one night, can't complain. However the receptionist gave us wrong information about the morning bus, and because of that we nearly missed our train and had to walk the 1.5 miles to the station early in the morning. We had triple checked the time with her and she was definitely wrong.

Lucky Lake Hostel

Amsterdam, Netherlands

LOVED our stay here!!! Yes, it's out of the way but absolutely worth it!!!! The place is so cute and the cabin we stayed in was super clean and storybook cute. The staff is awesome, they encourage you to take extra breakfast for lunch and we even didn't have to pay for one of the people in our group because they had overbooked the cabin, but they made him a great mattress on the floor and we definitely didn't mind. We've been recommending this place to everyone we meet, one of our favorite stops

Whoop whoop! Thanks guys! We hope to welcome you back again some time.

London, England

Great location and the staff was really nice. But the bathrooms were so tiny and not very clean. The mixed dorm was so scrunched together.. They separated the bunks with these metal cage things, but when people snored it echoed even louder. Also the wifi was terrible.

Hello! Many thanks for your review. We clean bathrooms twice a day but Staff is ready 24 hours to improve anything you could find under your expectations. Next time you could try a smaller dorm or also a private room. Safe travels! Ale
